It's been a little over 10 years since I last stopped in at Papier Plume. I'm not sure where I was walking at the time, or what I was really doing work colleague-wis, as my Royal Street positioning in the present and looking at the past was way off. I came away with some seal wax and stamp, while Gayle added some Cat Tarot and Cat greeting cards to my purchase. As before, the "analog" paper goods were well curated and priced, store staff were very helpful and friendly, and this remains one of these stores that are a joy to wander on this bright and welcoming corner of Royal and Dumaine.

, the selections. Was slightly sold out due to Christmas but definitely fell in love. When they have the one I want I'll order it online. The inks were absolutely beautiful! They also let you test stuff out!

Came in for a greeting card, left with that and a pen. I love the selection here, and the staff truly knows what they're talking about. You won't catch me writing with anything that doesn't say "Kum" on it from here on out!

Stumbled upon a this little shop while walking around the French Quarter. They sell pens, ink, inkwells, stationery, paper, journals/notebooks, and gifts. I'd love to spend more time browsing in this store next time I'm in New Orleans. Definitely worth a visit if you are interested in fountain pens. :)Glass dip penshttps://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=C97LmNbaaO9j9lyf9SdSuw&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQDisplayhttps://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=0w-aV_vaXMXleCTAif5gag&userid=isQotFiKU_S_TI4Qt4MtMQ.

Boy I wish I had known about Papier Plume before the holidays!! Found myself perusing down Royal St and stumbled into this adorable little print shop. In the back, there's a glass viewing window where you could see someone working on a calligraphy project - so neat. I am in love with stationary stores! Papier Plume will be a frequent stop of mine whenever in the quarter. I can't wait to utilize their Christmas cards and prints for years to come!

This store is just completely awesome! I was on vacation with two kids both budding artists. The owner really took the time to learn their needs and showed them items in their desired areas. The kids really had a great time and the time the owner spent with them made their purchases even more special. The store is full of pens, inks, art supplies and great journals. A fun place to explore.

Outstanding pen and stationary store. Wide choice of high quality fountain, calligraphy and dip pens. Few places can knowledgeably consult on how pens. Inks, and paper interact with each other for optimum results as this shop does. Frequented by artists and writers passionate about the subject. More than a store, it's an experience! A French Quarter destination in my view!

A must-visit for anyone interested in fine writing instruments, stationery, journals, greeting cards and related fun items like wax seals, and elegant magnifying glasses. Patrick, Amanda and Jason are very service-oriented and knowledgeable. I purchased a couple fountain pens and journals and found the prices to be very competitive. I even stopped in twice during my three day visit to New Orleans. I will visit anytime I am in town.

I specifically looked up Papier Plume because I wanted to buy a higher end fountain pen and ink to add to our collection as souvenirs of our trip to NOLA. We went into the store Monday 4/22/24 just before noon, there was the owner/manager and a young man working with inventory behind the counter with one other customer. The owner helping a lady with a purchase when we walked in, but both employees completely ignored my husband and I. We proceeded to look around, found some ink we wanted to buy and also saw two higher end fountain pens we were interested in purchasing. After waiting over 20 minutes without being acknowledged by either employee, we left.On Wednesday 4/24/24 we went back. There was one other customer but three employees. A young lady behind the counter greeted us with a cheerful hello when we walked in, but again the same two male employees completely ignored us. We spent another 20 minutes waiting for someone to help us, and again we were ignored. I absolutely do not recommend wasting your time at this store. If they're incapable of dealing with more than one customer, they really should stick with mail order only.
