Oz New Orleans

My favorite part of Oz was that I felt like I was in a safe environment the entire time - granted as a female I am probably not their target audience so your experience might differ.Since it was in between holiday season, it was kind of dead with not much going on. Personally I don't mind since I don't enjoy bumping elbows with others anyways.Shout out to the go go dancers for setting the vibe even with the small crowd. I loved that people would get on the stage to dance with them - good vibes only!

We had an amazing time when visiting. The drag shows are long and packed with entertainers. The interior is small and can become cramped, but what party isn't?

The first time I passed by OZ in the 90's I swear I saw a naked man dancing on the bar. Mind you, I was pretty tipsy at the time, so he may have just been wearing flesh-colored speedos. Either way, you are bound to see some cute Go-go dancers when you come here.Oz is one of the top gay bars and dance clubs in the French Quarter. They also give back to the community via charitable events & donations, which I appreciate. When I'm in town I stop by to play Drag Bingeaux or catch a Drag Show. On my most recent visit, I met up with a friend here for Drag Bingeaux. It also happened to be Happy Hour, which was an extra bonus. My friend and I had a great time as the hosts Ivy Dripp & Demi Boi Frost made the game exciting & fun. My friend ended up winning twice! (A $15 bar tab and a $25 bar tab.) He said he never wins, so I must have been his good luck charm. LOL! At least he covered my drinks.Oz is happening 7 nights a week because there's always something entertaining going on. Oz New Orleans is an average gay bar with decent drinks, but they really hit the mark with the music selection. The atmosphere was lively, with a nice variety of different groups and ages of men. It made for an interesting and welcoming environment. While the drinks were nothing special, the music helped create a fun vibe. Overall, it's a good spot for a night out, especially if you're into great tunes.

I've passed this place several times on my trips to NOLA but have never been in. This time, we had a perfect reason and found it to be an amazing dance club.There is a cover per person, and once we got in, there was quite a wait for drinks as there were only 2 bartenders for the packed downstairs floor. Once we got our drinks, they were good enough but nothing spectacular. The gogo dancers were entertaining and really catered to everyone regardless of gender and it was fun having them dance and wink at everyone in your group. The dance floor was really where all the action was, super packed and with a great dj. There was also an upper floor and balcony, but we didn't make it up there. Overall, it was a fun club, and everyone had a great time. While I wouldn't come for the drinks, it's a great spot to dance after you've got a buzz going.

Truly an amazing place that you are sure not going to want to miss going to when in New Orleans

Dancing or people watching, this is the place to come. A little crowded. Drinks were typical dance club. You would think they would have a themed drink for the club.

Always a fun and friendly crowd! Definitely recommend and will come back again and again.

Had a great time!! Checked out a Sunday night drag show and it was so much fun!! Great vibe and the bartender served us quickly. If I ever come back to New Orleans I'm definitely going back...There was only one drawback... the toilet in one of the restrooms was completely jammed with toilet paper. And when I said jammed, I mean it was coming out of the top of the toilet so I had to head back to my hotel to use the bathroom... Thankfully it was only a few minutes away. I imagine that it's not like that all the time.. other than that the place was very clean.

Bartender ignored me for 20 mins and I only got a drink when he made another guys drink wrong.Karaoke was fun, until it was my groups turn to go and the clown of a bartender grabbed the mic (from my group of nonbinary friends) and sarcastically said "give it up for the white women". He made no comments to any other groups performing, only us. Of course nobody laughed. he cheaply apologized to just one of us.When I tried to talk to him about his generalization/cheap sense of humor he got aggressive, asked if I was "tryna be his momma" and told me to leave. The misogyny and lack of accountability was repulsive. don't worry sissy dear, we won't be returning
