Oriental Market

Here I was driving all the way to the West Bank to Hong Kong market for simple ingredients and food items I had only wished were convient. Well, those days are over! They let us sneak in 10 minutes before closing which was just enough time for me to buy what I needed for some yummy homemade ramen! I got the Homdashi stock mix, Mushrooms, frozen ramen noodles, red pepper paste for this dish here. If I had had time, I definitely would have snagged more but it was just enough for a simple yet flavorful dish. We also bought Tteokbokki and gyoza but haven't tapped into those goodies just yet. Can't wait to be back to fill up my cart with unique ingredients I've been looking forward to playing and learning with. :) Happy to have y'all in Metairie!

I LOVE this market for anything oriental. We travel from 30 minutes away and easily drop $100 after getting everything we want. It's a great place to get those speciality items tik tok teaches us about, like dark soy and gochujang. And believe me, those items change the meal entirely so don't sub with things from the American markets. The kimchi in the cooler is my favorite of all that we've tried. The owners are extremely friendly. Jam packed with goodies so stop by!

This is a great store to go especially if you are in the west side, like Metairie or Kenner. Great selection for Korean and some Japanese food. I will not have to go to Houston for many things with this store. Some prices do reflect this, but having it near me is well worth it. But many items are as cheap as I've seen it in Houston. Great place. I hope they're in business long time.

Owner is super nice. Lots of products and always carry new snacks. I love coming here for ramen and different things for dinner!

Fantastic store for quick shopping. There is a great assortment of tea, drinks, and other dry goods. The freezer section appears small, but actually contains a great variety of options. Keep in mind that this store is themed towards Japanese, Korean, and Northeastern Chinese delicacies. Southeast Asian items are better found at Golden City Market.

This is my favorite Asian market in Jefferson Parish. While I agree that the supersized market on the West Bank is very cool, it is too far and too big to be the best for me.This market is cozy, super clean, and offers lots of healthy options such as sprouted rice, msg-free frozen snacks, and beautiful, low-priced produce. This place mainly specializes in Korean foods, but also offers a few Japanese and Vietnamese staples. They have an excellent selection of frozen seafood and teas/dried herbs.

The store is clean and very organized! I love it! My kids have such a great time when they go shopping for the Asian treats. Their customer service is pleasant and their food is always fresh!

Really nice staff, even helped me carry my groceries to my car! They have a nice selection of Asian snacks and a good selection of pre made banchan. I'll definitely go back

I find the best Filipino products for cooking here. Love this market. They always say have that obscure seasoning or sauce I need.
