This has been such an awesome find. My brother is seriously going once or twice a week! He's definitely hooked! It's all you can eat and anything you can of adding to your hot pot! These little stove tops sit on the table to get your hot pot going! Make sure you don't over do it so everything can fits. Definitely get the steak it's thinly sliced and top off with Ramen noodles(or any noodle you can think of). My son is going through a picky eater phase, but they have a lot of fruits and veggies that he likes. And of course Edamame and sea weed salad! On the actual menu (iPad) the crab ragoons and egg rolls are great. We haven't done the Korean BBQ side with the table grill, but that looks like fun!The only negative I can think of is sometimes I'm unsure of cook times. So I do get a little worried that I'm over or under cooking things!

First off, the place was huge! I appreciated that the walkways weren't tight as I liked going back and forth their sauce and seafood bar. The hot pot and bbq tables were at opposite ends of the restaurant with the salad and seafood bar right at the middle.I loved their banchan choices. A must-try is the spicy pork ears. It was perfectly seasoned and not too soft. There were a variety of sauce choices. As someone who frequented hot pot places, I already knew the type of sauce I really liked. However, I came with first-timers. I think it'll be great for them to post sauce combination suggestions on the wall!Ordering off an iPad menu was great especially at a busy place such as a K-Bbq restaurant. However, they did not come at a timely manner. The servings of meat came incomplete and were served before the rice orders. Typically, rice accompanies the meat as they are eaten together. But they came with the second batch of our orders. They also messed up orders from other tables. The table opposite us had to ask us if we ordered something because it got placed at their table when they were just about to leave. We would still come back though because Louisiana really does not have a lot of choices for places like these. Hopefully, we get a better experience next time!

Highly recommend. We have been to the Korean BBQ side twice already, once for lunch and once for dinner. You get a few additional items for dinner but lunch is the best deal in my opinion. You order with the iPad and the meats come out very very quickly. We were shocked by how fast the ordering process is because many all you can eat places take their time when servicing the food. Ask for a table with a vent that can be lowered (some of them are stuck in the up position) so you don't have as much smoke around you.

Ombu Hotpot & Korean BBQ has a wonderful array of items, soup bases, and appetizers for a hotpot meal you can customize entirely. When you walk in, you'll actually have 2 dining options: Hotpot vs BBQ. With hotpot, which is what I chose during my visit, you'll walk past a buffet-style assortment of toppings, meat, noodles, and other items you can add to your hotpot.First and foremost, the food was delicious and I'll be coming back for the hotpot again, and to try the BBQ! The service was speedy, with all our meat and appetizers coming out just minutes after we ordered, and our waiter(s) were extremely nice and helpful despite some language barrier hiccups. The restaurant itself was clean and well-organized, with plenty of chatty and happy customers, without it being too loud. Now, this was my first time having hotpot, and at this restaurant, and it was a bit confusing trying to figure out how to order and what was allowed, so I'll give a run-down of how it works below:Once seated, you choose your soup base and meats (among other appetizers, drinks, etc) on a tablet. The currency is not displayed in USD, but no worries as it's a flat all-you-can-eat price, so no matter what you add to your cart/order, you don't have to fret about the bill or currency translation. The only items not included in the buffet style options are desserts and drinks. While waiting for your first order you can peruse the buffet you walked past and get toppings, noodles, and other specialty meats to add to your hotpot soup.Once your soup comes, they'll place it on heaters (with adjustable heat settings) built into the table. If you run out of meat, need napkins, refills, or simply want more food, just order it off the tablet again and press send. You can use the tablet to ask for the bill as well! Overall this was a fun first experience and I'd love to go again, especially now that I know how everything works!

We passed this restaurant several times and decided to try it for lunch on Monday. They open at 11 AM. We arrived early and were able to wait inside. Immediately noticed the pretty chandeliers and cleanliness of the restaurant. While waiting the waiter was kind enough to answer a few questions for us of how the ordering process works. We were promptly seated as soon as they opened. They turned on the warmer at our table and we placed our beverage orders. They explained how we would order from the tablet which was very easy. You order and within a few short minutes it is delivered to your table. We tried a little bit of everything and left happy and stuffed! Please come hungry because you will want to try everything. It is great to have a new restaurant on the Westbank with fresh delicious food and the service is top notch! We will be back soon!!

Korean BBQ for lunch was a delight. A few minor glitches with service (staff were definitely trying hard & very gracious). We were pleased with their lunch options & will go again in a few weeks, anticipating that they'll have the kinks worked out.

This restaurant features excellent décor and ambiance, with separate sections for Korean BBQ and Hot Pot, and the option to combine both for $6 more to the price. We chose Korean BBQ. Ventilation systems at each table minimized food odors and prevented burning. Ordering was facilitated through a tablet. Contrary to our expectations, service was slow, and orders were mixed up, mirroring our friend's experience at the grand opening. Our table of six did not receive several ordered items, which were mistakenly delivered to another table. Although our English-speaking waitress was inattentive, language barriers with the delivery staff hindered communication. Some proteins were tough, while chicken and shrimp were tender and well-seasoned. Squid and octopus were noticeably absent from the menu. The spicy kimchi tofu soup and kimchi fried rice disappointed, whereas the bibimbap in a hot stone bowl, complemented by pork belly, impressed. Desserts are priced separately. Acknowledging the restaurant's new status, we tolerated service issues, but the foul-smelling mop bucket near the worker station was off-putting. We plan to return and try the Hot Pot, hoping for improved service.

The place is alright. I do like how they give you a iPad to order food but it is almost never accurate. I ordered 3 orders of galbi and it was mainly 75% bone 25% meat and there are times when I ordered 3 meat and they only send me 1 so when I decide to try order 6 (I can eat a lot) they just sent me 2 pieces of meat if I can show how much I ordered compared to how much I get it's like 3 pieces ordered equals to 1 piece of meat but if you order 1 piece of meat by itself you will get exactly what you ordered basically you might have to constantly order 1 piece of meat. The quality of the meat also wasn't the best some tasted tough if I have to choose I like the garlic steak because it had garlic seasoning. Unfortunately this could not meet my expectations. I will they I like the variety and options they offer but the quality was disappointing. server was nice but there were people who brought out food that didn't understand when I asked them," is this 3 orders they didn't give a reply (it was 1 piece of steak not big piece either)"Food 1.5/5Atmosphere 3.5/5Service 2/5
