On the corner of Oak and Dante is a quaint and cozy distillery calling your name! The ambiance is warm and inviting, enough that you'd want to add this to your regularly frequented hangout spots! Not only for the indoor offerings but also for the outdoor open space to hang out with all your friends after a long day! If you're contemplating a tour, it's highly recommended! The masters of their craft provide so much insight and knowledge of their unique processes that you'll find yourself in tune and fully engaged! Now to the fun part, the product ... because that's really why we're there!! I honestly can't say enough amazing things about every single distilled product they produce. From the Bourbon to the Vodka to the Liqueurs ... you'll find something truly special in every sip! Every bit of their passion is shown through their hard work and labor! The extremely well crafted cocktail menu showcases each one of their liquors beautifully.Take your partner, take your friends, take your work team, take your Dad ... or maybe just take a book, either way you're guaranteed to enjoy everything Old Alker has to offer!

This is a new distillery that has opened on Oak Street. You can go to their website to check out the options they offer. They do have tours and a bar inside. Overall this looks like a nice addition to the neighborhood.

This place is amazing. The picture I attached is a TASTING FLIGHT. It's basically 3 full drinks in a flight. I had a very helpful and friendly bartender that gave me great recommendations, their amaretto is honestly one of the most delicious drinks I've ever had, and it was just amaretto. The gin was crisp and fresh and I enjoyed sipping it. The bourbon honestly is not for me. I don't think the bourbon has a good flavor; it tastes like how overripe banana peels smell. However I can accept that it's just not for me and other people may enjoy it more. The space is nice and on oak street, so parking may be difficult. It definitely is worth a detour though. There is a spacious patio out front and you can see the distillery through a window on the inside. A lovely charm and good people working here. Come here!

I had the pleasure of visiting Old Alker on my inaugural trip to New Orleans. A breath of fresh air from the chaos that is Bourbon street, this place (and the people!) is warm and welcoming. The liquor and liqueurs they produce are top tier. The drinks they craft are delicious. And the tour, much more intimate than what you get on the Bourbon Trail (and my preferred!), is interesting and fun. I would highly recommend visiting and plan to come back with the husband in tow.

Visited during my first trip to New Orleans recently and enjoyed every moment of it! The ambiance, staff, and drinks are top tier. It was a treat to learn about the distilling process, history of the building, and how Old Alker came to be while sipping on delicious handcrafted cocktails.

A must visit! Really creative drinks that hit the mark perfectly between classic flavors and a new twist. Passionate staff and a family-owned business, you won't regret trying it and will immediately want to come back.

We live in the neighborhood and finally stopped by, surprise--love it here! The staff are so nice and friendly, the drinks are amazing. The daughter of the owner who bartends is incredibly knowledgeable about all of the alcohol they have. The chairs at the bar are oddly comfortable. 100% would recommend, they even have pop up food sometimes.

I love visiting distilleries, and was so excited to try this one. It's so cute on the outside, and even cuter on the inside. Their cocktail list was intriguing. I finally made my selection, and wow, it was delicious. Now, to the tricky part. The gentleman behind the bar was dismissive, to the point of arrogance. He made me, and all in our party, feel like we were unimportant, and honestly, like we were a bother. I will add that there were only a few other customers, so it wasn't like he was busy. A few weeks later, I thought, well... he may be have been having a bad night. So, we went back. Again, we were charmed by the space. Again, the drinks were delicious, and very unique. Again, however, Mr. Nasty was behind the bar. He seemed totally irritated by our questions. I love craft spirits, and was really wanting to know more about their products. He was abrupt, to the point of rudeness. He's a genius as far as expertise and mixology go, but really seems not to enjoy a pleasant conversation, May I say even the most brief of pleasantries were beneath him. I was so excited to have a top notch distillery in the neighborhood, but, I won't be back. I prefer my cocktails without a splash of attitude.

Vodka, Gin, Bourbon, Liqueurs... all made with passion and the best ingredients. Proof is in the tasting. A hidden gem across the Mississippi on Oak Street is Old Alker, a short trip worth venturing away from the French Quarter to experience if you are visiting New Orleans. Don't just grab a drink, take the tour and you'll find greater appreciation in the product. I highly recommend!
