Small restaurant but large on taste and selections! Salmon Box Sushi was fresh and delicious. Futomaki outstanding as well as the squid salad, salmon roe and smelt roe were generous in portion. Staff is very friendly and efficient. We will be back on a regular basis!

Yummy sushi restaurant ! Husband and wife in the kitchen while their daughter waits tables . They are all very friendly and personable. Fairly new to River Ridge, previously further down Jefferson Highway . Fresh made, better than any of the other sushi restaurants near us. We've tried a few different sushi rolls. Monster roll, LSU roll , and today Okini /Mango Roll . The rolls are large and filling. My husband and I split the order and still had leftovers . It was delicious! I highly recommend this restaurant.

This hidden gem serves up fresh reasonably priced sushi. Family owned and operated, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the sushi consistently well made.

Great fresh tuna, inventive rolls. Fresh I've been twice since they have opened. Trying the Tuna Donburri, tuna tataki and some classic and special rolls. The Metairie roll is excellent. Also enjoy the caterpillar roll. Have many others I want to try.

Sushi was very fresh. Ordered the soft shell crab roll, spicy yellowtail , crunchy roll and Boston roll. All were delicious! It may be a small sushi bar, but it packs huge flavor. WILL be back!!

Very welcoming, family-owned establishment with decades of experience preparing fresh sushi for the community. We enjoyed two bottles of wine (BYOB for now) with our delicious dinner - the salmon nigiri with green onions, sriracha, and ponzu sauce is a must! It's an off-the-menu item so be sure to ask for it. My husband's favorite was their eel nigiri as it was very crispy and flavorful, and the hamachi nigiri was also a highlight of our night. The service was also lovely! Can't wait to return with more family and friends!

Okini was recommended to me by a friend of mine whose taste in food I trust implicitly. And he was not wrong, and Okini did not disappoint. My partner and I split four rolls that were all delicious, we left really full and really happy. The family that runs this restaurant is a delight, so helpful, and so sweet. The service is amazing, the food is great, the fish is fresh, the flavors are fantastic. We loved it and I hope you do too.

Friendly people! They are a small place, but their sushi was really fresh and flavorful! We got our food to go, and even though they went a few minutes over the time they expected with our food they were super apologetic. They threw in complimentary shrimp dumplings to our order to make up for it. You can tell it's a small family owned business. They deserve the hype! Will definitely be back!! My husband and I devoured the dumplings before I thought to take a picture LOL. Picture below is the deep fried crunchy roll and the Rock n Roll added cream cheese!

Sake don is back! My absolute favorite place for sushi and sashimi. Every visit I have to get the tuna tataki salad and the alligator and red hot roll. Such nice people. We're so glad they are back in the neighborhood serving up our favorite rolls again.
