Octavia Art Gallery

Octavia has a great space - plenty of room and good lighting. During my visit they were featuring three artists. The staff were pleasant and not pushy or snobbish so you felt welcome regardless if you were buying or not. This gallery would have a great venue for receptions but I just enjoyed the browsing.

Octavia Art Gallery is a lovely gallery on Julia Street, which is at the heart of New Orleans' gallery district. We visited in Jan 2017 when we visited New Orleans. It's located near the uptown / Garden District of the city. The works of art were beautiful and I loved getting to walk through and look at the paintings. They were captured well, too, and I liked learning a bit more about each of the artists. We didn't actually purchase anything from Octavia Art Gallery, but as with the other galleries along Julia Street, it's lovely just to walk through and glimpse the lovely works of art it houses!
