My favorite section, the cookbooks.
Lots of books, as one might expect.
Great bright open space
The library after dark.

I am a huge fan of the new-ish, beautiful, modern building that is the Nora Navra Library on St. Bernard Ave. between Claiborne and Miro. The building is light and airy with big glass windows looking out onto St. Bernard Ave. It is a truly new gorgeous facility with ALL the awesome features we have come to love about the New Orleans Public libraries; lots of books, magazines and newspapers to read, look through or borrow, a great selection of DVDs to borrow, and a whole section of computers for anyone to use. But the thing that brings me here the most is composting, on Tuesdays from 5:30-7pm you can bring frozen food waste to save it from the landfill. It is a program called Compost NOW and has pick-up dates at most of the public libraries.
