I heard about this place randomly from some lady at a Saints game. Don't know how we got on the subject of ramen, but she said hands down Nomiya was the best in the city. It's been on my to try list ever since and it did not disappoint. There's a nice little inside space as well as outdoor seating. Sat inside as it was pretty cold out. Started with the edamame. It's been a while since I've had edamame cold, but it was very refreshing with the yuzu. For the ramen I went with the geki-kara at half spice. I asked if it was really too hot at full spice and the waitress said yes try the half spice before you come try the full. She was right. I added bata and corn as well as extra noodles. It was very filling and full of flavor. If you get extra noodles you easily have enough for another full meal of leftovers. It was spicy, but kind of sneaks up on you. It didn't taste overly spicy the flavors were amazing, but half way through my lips were stinging a bit and had some runny eye runny nose situation. Maybe one day I'll get crazy and try the full spice, but I think I'll stick with half on my next visit as well.

I finally paid a visit to Nomiya after years of passing it by on Magazine. I'm a huge Ramen fan and now that the weather is cooling down, it felt like the perfect time to go and see what the ramen was hitting on. It wasn't particularly busy on a Friday around 4:30pm so I was able to grab a table outside. There were a few others seated but service was quick, attentive and helpful. I was surprised how small the menu was but it also helped me to make a quick decision. I ordered the pulled pork bao and the "too spicy" ramen at half spice level with the corn, extra egg and pickled greens for toppings. The pork buns were really good and more filling than I was expecting. The ramen was yummy but was missing something that I couldn't put my finger on. It may have been the broth or maybe I'm just accustomed to other ramen shops. Overall, it was a pleasant experience but not my favorite.

The food was really seasoned and tasty. The broth wasn't salty. The food heated up really well the next day. We did dine-in service for lunch time and it wasn't busy. We were served in a timely manner. The wait staff was super sweet.

Nomiya has been on my to visit list for a long time!! Today was cold enough for my SO to agree to ramen so we decided to check it out. My SO ordered some edamame and I was a little surprised when it came out cold and with a sour punch, but a quick look at the menu told me it was supposed to be cold and it was served with salt and yuzu. For ramen I ordered the Geki-Kara "Too Spicy" half spice, and boy was I glad I got half spicy because it was spicy! I added some buttered corn and pickled greens. The broth was delicious and spicy, the pork tender, the greens tart and cooked down and the corn slightly sweet. The soy egg was bomb and I wish I had added another half egg! The decor is very colorful and fun! I can't wait to go back and eat some more ramen!

Great spot for ramen! They have a small menu which is easy to read. Nice seating both inside and outside (covered). Friendly staff and quick service. The ramen was very flavorful, good quality noodles and meat. The meat was very soft and melts in your mouth. I'd come back!

My first time trying legit ramen, and I enjoyed it! A friend took me, as it's one of his favorite places in NOLA. There was a little bit of a wait for two, but it didn't seem too long. The menu is almost exclusively pork broth and meat, so I had the vegetarian ramen. The vegetarian option was just fine, though, and so flavorful! I liked the quaint space in there, and the music added to the vibe. I would visit again, I just wish there were some more options for the folks that don't eat pork.

Fantastic service and delicious full-flavored ramen! The only thing that could make this establishment even better would be if they had capybaras to pet!

Service was amazing as soon as you walk in. The ambiance makes everything feel authentic and plenty of seating from outdoors to indoors. The menu options is limited compared to other ramen spots but it was good nonetheless. We tried the Kuro ramen which is more on the garlic side and if you're into spice, you can ask for the spice sauce on the side for an extra kick. The demon slayer sake is strong but goes well after a good meal. Left full and would go bag. Also, the location is on magazine so a nice stroll down the block would make for a perfect afternoon activity.
