When Jen L and Re H told me about this crawl, I knew I was in for a good time. Little did I know I was going to have an absolute f$*%!*g blast the Saturday before Easter. The NOLA Bunarchy Crawl has been going on for over ten years, and the city is taken over by a ton of bunnies roaming around the Marigny area while supporting a local non-profit, Louisiana SPCA.They have a very strict schedule and the dj/emcee of the night rallies up the bunnies with his live music and pushes his dj cart to the next spot.It was everything and more shutting down street crossings with an influx of 400+ bunnies walking across. This crawl is very liberating and you see folks dressed up in many different ways. Definitely a 21+ crowd but the energy and love was all too real.Everyone was very friendly and the creativity of some folks was over the top. I played it easy and did a Hugh Hefner Bunny moment wearing a full silk moment with a half face bunny mask (in black glitter of course). For $10 you can officially join the crawl and you receive your medallion that's also a bottle opener and a koozie. Dancing around the streets and between the bars was probably the funnest aspect for me.The order of bars (at least for 2019) was as follows:-Marie's Bar-Mimi's-St Roch Tavern -Always Lounge-Poor Boys BarSt Roch being the middle stop of the tour was perfect since it was walking distance where many, many bunnies took a quick pit stop at St Roch Market for food. Let's just say folks visiting the Big Easy where in for a treat lol.I'll definitely be doing this crawl from here on out!

Le sigh. I had hoped to be on my 3rd bunarchy this Saturday. But it is not to be.This is an awesome bar crawl that benefits the LA/SPCA. You make an elaborate themed bunny costume... or just slap on some bunny ears and wander around bars in the Marigny. I mean what's not to love? It's not overly organized (and I mean that in the best way) and as the night gets longer (and tipsier) it gets even less so. But c'mon, you get to roam the streets with all your new bunny besties and the look on people's faces is hilarious. Last year the 1st four bars were easy-peasy wanderings and were so much fun... the last bar was so very far away. I'm going to pay attention to that in advance ... for 2021.Looking forward to making it back out on the streets in full bunny-wear for next year.
