NOLA Actors Lab

Flo is a very intense teacher who knows the both the theory and practice of the acting craft. The reason this is getting 4 stars is that the beginners class is very dependent on the students working together and I saw several start the 5 week period and not make it through and others who just weren't that serious. This could be problematic if they were partnered with you. My experience was top notch and I do recommend it to everyone with an interest in this art.

The NOLA Actors Lab offers a supportive and non judgmental environment for actors to stretch themselves and explore new emotional territory. It truly is a lab in the sense that you are free to explore and experiment with your own emotional triggers in a pressure-free setting. This was my introduction to Method acting, and Flo did a great job of demystifying the technique and making it accessible. It has helped me deepen my connection to emotional truth so that I know now when I am really connected to the material and when I am forcing it or phoning it in. If you have never studied Method before and you're curious about it, or if you're looking for a positive environment to continue your study of the technique, you will find a welcoming home at the NOLA Actors Lab.
