New Orleans Yacht Experience

Prepare yourself for WOW! Captain Doug and his wife Rena have really nailed it with this NOLA excursion. Experience everything from adventure to relaxation and/or thrills to pure romance and if your schedule allows a sunset cruise, it's nothing short of magical. Booking was a breeze, communication is thorough but concise and you'll want for nothing once you're onboard, as Captain Doug anticipates your every need and delivers on it before you can think to ask. All you need do is sit back and find yourself enchanted by the yacht, drinks, snacks, music, service, landscape and most of all the sail. We absolutely loved our time aboard the "Roux Stir" and look forward to a future cruise There just aren't enough stars to give to Captain Doug & New Orleans Yacht Experience!Randy & Kristine

Captain Doug & Cruise Director Rena are excellent hosts and fun to sail with. I have sailed before with two different companies, Murrays and FlyNOLA and this one was the best. They pick you up in a large SUV that fits 8. This will be the only negative thing I have to say about the trip, but the SUV did not smell the best, I will leave it at that. So you get picked upi either downtown or at Landrys and they drive you to the location where their yacht is which is on Stars and Stripes Blvd and behind The Lazy Jack.We and two other couples get into the yacht and they take us down for a safety briefing. They offer safety jackets as well. It is a 2 bedroom, one bath yacht with a kitchenette and is beautiful. They offered us snacks like little bags of chips and pretzels and offered us wine, beer or soda. We went back up to the top and there is a canopy so you are not just sitting in the sun. They also have cushions on the seats so you are not sitting on hard plastic seats. Doug and Rena are very accommodating, anytime I needed a refill, they would fill our cups, we had fun conversation with them, they played some music and took requests and they even took our pictures. At the end of the 2 hour ride, we were given a USB stick with all the pictures of the trip on there, that includes the other 2 couples. Plus, Rena gave us a nice cooling towlette with lavender sents on it. It was a wonderful trip and perfect for locals and tourists alike.

I think this is something that everyone should experience this. The captain and his daughter was amazing and the boat was amazing. I plan on doing it again!

Literally The best experience on a sailboat that I could've ever asked for. They say in their email that they offer "snacks" but not only did they offer us snacks, they gave us refreshments the entire time we were there- they literally made it to the point where we didn't even have to stand up to get anything-they took pictures for us. And they even gave us a flash drive of all of the pictures that they took on their professional DSLR camera. It was the best experience we could've ever hoped for- thank you so much! I never thought I'd say this- but we are coming back- I don't always leave reviews but this was a memory that we will keep forever and it was an awesome experience on an actual yacht, thank you! Thank you!!! They exceeded all expectations that we could have possibly had!!!

10/29/19 Please see below for our initial review. As to an update. We did our second cruise with Captain Doug and Cruise Director Rena this morning. We booked an extra hour and it was FANTASTIC. Coffee and mimosas. They continue to be 100% customer oriented. So friendly, so professional, so fun. Don't miss it.What a fantastic trip. Captains Doug and Rena were wonderful hosts. They arrived on time for the pick-up at our hotel, treated us to a super comfortable sail, picked tunes we all liked, and provided delicious jambalaya and ginger cookies!!! Do not miss this experience when you look to see all that NOLA has to offer.

Capt. Doug and his daughter provided the most magical sail! I surprised my partner for her 37th birthday and Doug helped arrange every perfect detail- from a pick up right at our lunch location, champagne, petit fours, and tons of beautiful pictures for our memory book. I couldn't offer a higher recommendation!

Doug was amazing helpful and friendly. It was a great experience! He lets you select your own music and drive the boat. The ride is smooth and the view is beautiful.

Such a wonderful time. Great hospitality! They were so welcoming. We felt so comfortable and the whole entire experience was a 5 star service. Hoping to go back again this September to New Orleans so we will definitely book again!!!!
