Steamboat and the Crescent City Bridge
The city was very pretty at night. The picture did not do it justice.
In the front of the steamboat before dinner
Great strong drinks

If you are a Disneyland lover who loves the steamboat ride, then this is a must experience for you while visiting New Orleans. Steamboat cruise on the Mississippi River, yes please! If you do a cruise with the brunch option this review is also for you. We arrived early based on other reviews that suggested arriving early. Please carry a water and a small handheld fan so you don't pass out from heat exhaustion while waiting in line to board the steamboat. You want to look your best for a souvenir picture. We did end up purchasing the $35 picture package since it was a girls trip and our picture was definitely one for the books. The weather was perfect for us the day we went so the water was not rocky or choppy. The boat doesn't travel very fast, if you are worried about being sea sick. We did some boat exploring between the various decks and took some pictures. What I like about the brunch option most importantly is that you are in air conditioning. There are reserved tables so you are escorted to your seat by a gracious host where your table is waiting for you with a carafe of water and a delicious and refreshing salad. Your server immediately introduces herself and greets you with a bowl of gumbo. She took our drink orders and we began to dive right into our food. Both the salad and the gumbo were delicious. The brunch buffet is a good variation of NOLA favorites and traditional favorites. The dessert though, was truly a delightful treat. The bread pudding and ice cream with bananas foster was definitely the chefs kiss to an incredible meal. The staff was great and attentive and the cruise was rich in NOLA history. They also have a jazz band that plays I think for the lunch or dinner cruise that I would definitely be interested in next time I visit NOLA. Overall, the food was great. The service was excellent.

One of the things that you can do in New Orleans is enjoying the scenery of the Mississippi River by steamboat company. We had dinner inside and took pictures. By that time, we didn't have a chance to get too far due to the weather. But, the steamboat company was generous to refund us or come back the other next dayto complete the tour. This company is amazing. Food is great and I love the customer service

My boyfriend and I went on the Dinner Jazz Cruise during the week. We booked it through the Natchez Steamboat website because it was cheaper than the Creole Queen or booking through Groupon. The website had a coupon code that took off $10 per ticket! The total ended up being $158 for two tickets, which was well-worth the purchase! I was definitely excited as this was my first time trying a jazz cruise on a steamboat.Parking was a bit tricky. Spothero charged $18 for the P404 parking lot, which was one of the closes parking options to the steamboat. Since we were running out of time, it was the best we could do. Finding the entrance and exit of the lot was a bit tricky, but not too complicated. There were many open spaces. This may have been due to it being Wednesday 7PMish time. The walk from our parking spot to the steamboat was short. Although I had bought the tickets the night before, the steps to getting checked in was still long. We were instructed to stop by the ticket booth to get a physical tickets, then bring the tickets to the persons taking the tickets, next another person checked my bag, and last a person offered to take a photo of us before finally boarding the steamboat. After we got on the boat, another person asked us what time our dinner reservations were and gave us another pass to give to the host in the dinner area of the of the boat. Everyone was cordial, so we did not mind all of it. I appreciated each person's warm smiles and warm service towards every passenger!Dinner was great! It was served hot and there was a server who tended to our extra orders on top of the buffet style dinner! It was a multi-course meal, starting with a salad. Our server gave us a cup of soup, then the main course (which we were encouraged to get up and get from the buffet), and last dessert. Our server also let us know about drinks we could order as extras (which I took advantage of). While dinner was served, jazz music was being played. The live band started to play a little later, and they were broadcasted on the televisions and speakers. There was an option to join them on another level of the steamboat, but they had limited seating. We were also encouraged to explore all 3 tiers of the steamboat, which we had fun doing and checking out the views. The view outside were limited, but still very cozy and magical in its own way. The bridge and the city lit up. The stars were visible as it was a clear sky that night, but it was not numerous as you would expect in the middle of nowhere Utah. The paddlewheels were really cool to watch as they spun.I highly recommend this dinner jazz cruise, especially for NOLA first timers looking to try a steamboat experience with some fun live jazz! I loved every minute of it. My recommendation for anyone doing the dinner jazz cruise: wear something extra warm! It is cold on the steamboat, especially at night. Also wear a mask, it acts as a scarf over the face to keep warm. Also check their website for a coupon code to save some costs!

Def enjoyed my time on this cruise. Was a must visit for me. The lunch was good too, the catfish is amazing. Has a full service bar in all floors and the staff was very courteous and accommodating.

I'll break this down into three reviews since there were multiple components of the cruise. The cruise itself was decent, possibly very good but I wouldn't know because of the rest of the package. I purchased the "Marco Gras" package (cruise, lunch & 3 drink coupons). Boat departed at 2:30. The line at the bar was in excess of 30 minutes. 2 of us spent time on the deck enjoying the cruise, the other 3 in my party were in line for drinks and didn't get through the line until a little after 3pm, at which point it was time to get in line for lunch. We were seated quickly (before 3:30 in a less than half filled dining room. Food is currently "buffet style" but brought to your table. Maybe. We sat for over 20 minutes while the room filled and watched as servers went around with plates of food. We eventually got someone's attention that brought over small bowls of pasta salad. That person then disappeared and another ten minutes later someone came by with one plate with a scoop of rice & beans, a scoop of jambalaya and two small pieces of sausage. The server said their were waiting for more fish to cook. Same server returned five minutes later with plate for the other four in the group with the same, though the sausage was now cut down to what in the attached image. A couple of the plates included bread pudding, most did not. We never saw anyone again until a different person came to clear the plates. When ask what happened to the rest of our food they brought over two pieces of fish.As for the rest of the drink coupons, we gave up and one person in our party went to redeem them for a bunch of drinks at the end once the line died down.Considering the pricing ($39 cruise, $52 w/lunch, $75 w/3 drinks) while the food was good (what we had, would have enjoyed a full portion of sausage and 2 pieces of fish for 5 people seemed a little odd), I wouldn't say it was a $13 meal at this point. And $23 for 3 drinks (Bloody Mary, mimosa, beer) is ok, but when it's a 30 minute wait per why bother?Maybe the cruise alone is worth it, definitely needs work on the food end of things, and the drink package is a complete waste.

The day that we had prepurchased tickets for (in August 2021) the boat was broken... it literally could not leave the dock the entire brunch. They did give us a partial refund, but it really still wasn't worth the price. The food was barely up to high-school cafeteria quality, although the drinks weren't too bad. The boat was decorated outdatedly (not as in "from the historic era", but basically just nothing had been changed out since the 80s) and the jazz band was really bad and not even jazz. Overall wouldn't really recommend

They have a buffet, but, the food lacks proper seasoning. The sweet potatoes and bread pudding were not sweet. The corn was meh. The seafood pasta was decent, but, I did not want seconds. The cruise was ok, but, nothing spectacular. Before we docked, most people were lined up at the gate and ready to get off. The music was actually good; hence, the 2 star rating instead of one star.

People who meet you at the entrance and ramp to boat very rude. Once you arrive on board your on the third level which has a bar. It took 25 minutes to get a drink. The smell in the cabin reminded me of Bourbon Street rancid. Dinner salad dry and chicken was over cooked. People serving got mad at a guest who started to help themselves because nobody was serving was spoken down to even after guest apologized because she didn't know the protocol. I Would not do the cruise again. Unfortunate experience.

As not a dinner guest the ride is nothing to see. I wouldn't waste your money. Maybe the food is good but then again there has to better on land
