We thoroughly enjoyed our City and Cemetery Tour with Lee! We discovered so many interesting things about New Orleans and were given a great overview of the city and its history. Lee was very personable, knowledgeable, and entertaining as we rode in the comfortable bus. We appreciated his honesty about the good points and not-so-good points of the city. This is a great way to get an introduction to New Orleans and it's diverse neighborhoods and cultures. Highly recommended!

I was walking with my husband from our hotel (Omni Royal Orleans) to enjoy everything around us and eventually find some place to eat for lunch. Just a few minutes into the walk from our hotel, I saw a tourism information center advertising for activities etc. The name was a bit hidden but it's called New Orleans Native Tours located at 533 St. Louis Street. I decided to stop inside this place that sits right in the middle of a main tourist area (French Quarter). This was not in an "off the beaten path" area. I was interested in finding out about their tours and my husband decided to wait right outside as I planned to just get some information to look over before booking anything. There was also a sign saying they had free maps. I walked in and the people in there previously were leaving. They were asking where to find a bathroom. An older man who worked there with missing teeth and a thick (southern?) accent directed them and they left. I was now the only "customer" in the place. This older man and a younger man were working at this place together. Based on other reviews and photos, I believe they are related, the older man's name is possibly David, and the younger man's name is Christophe P. Owners of the place?-This is the full conversation that occurred:Me: "Hi! :) , what are your most ..." Older man (David?): "GET THE F**K OUT!!!!" (In a very venomous, vile, and violently threatening scary tone and volume. He was right in my face and pointing to the door. His eyes were so hateful and angry as if I had murdered his child)Me: (Stunned and shocked silence and then thinking maybe it's a joke?)Older man (David?): "GET THE F**K OUT!!!!"Me: "(shaky quiet voice) oh... (facial expression still stunned)... you are being serious?"(This all happened very fast. After asking if he's being serious, I stared at the younger man to get a response or explanation. The younger man (Christophe?) just smirked at me and was silent the entire time as if this is a regular occurrence) Older Man (David?): I'M F**KING SERIOUS!!!! GET THE F**K OUT!!!! (x5 repeat)Me: (Starting to shake and slowly back away) Okay....-I know this sounds ridiculous. That's because it is. I left because I don't like confrontations or escalating dangerous situations. He was very clearly irrational and ANGRY within one second of seeing me. Who knows what he would have done? I don't even get parking tickets so I was definitely not going to stick around and argue with someone like this and get into any kind of trouble.I walked out and I tried telling my husband about what happened but I kept getting choked up when I tried to talk. I finally managed to get some words out and thought we would just walk away from that place while I told him what happened. As I was telling my husband what happened, the older man who yelled at me walked out a couple minutes later. He was just a few feet from us. I whispered to my husband that he was the guy who screamed at me. My VERY calm and collected husband asked him "what's your problem, man?"He responded to my husband by pointing his finger away from his street like we were stray dogs being kicked off his land... and screamed in the middle of the busy touristy sidewalk area for us to "GET THE F**K OUTTA HERE! IMA SKULL F**K YOU INTO THE PAVEMENT!"I'm not trying to be dramatic but I honestly still have no appetite a couple days after this incident. After this incident I was having panic attacks and crying on an off for the entire day. I'm not even a crier! The hate mixed with the scary anger that was emitting from that man's face has really left me with a sick feeling. I had never experienced anything like this before. If you insist on walking into this place, I would record your encounter. The problem is that a lot of their customers will be walk ins and people will not read the reviews before walking in.I'm just not sure how these people stay open in the middle of a very diverse and popular tourist spot. This wasn't just rude service. This was VERY scary. After reading some other reviews I'm pretty sure I've come to my own conclusion about why this happened to us specifically, but I'll let other reviewers draw their own conclusions. New Orleans is still one of my favorite cities to visit. I will come back as everyone else is so nice and the city is beautiful. I will also make sure everyone I know hears about this dark blemish on an otherwise magical city. To this family/business- You don't anger me. You make me sad for you. To have so much rage and treat people this way is appalling. I will SINCERELY pray that one day your hearts can be filled with love and peace.
