A.J. is a wonderful guide and a kind human who took good care of us on our kayak tour of the swamp. A.J. has experience guiding waterways all around the country and I enjoyed sharing the love of the outdoors through conversation. Experiencing the bayou landscape of Louisiana was an important part of my first trip to the South. A.J. explained the eco system and helped us fine tune our vision to see the incredible life that calls the swamps home. I highly recommend!

Best time I've had in NOLA!! What joy to be out in the swamp with other nature enthusiasts. Ali was super knowledgeable about the area wildlife and plants and we even spotted an alligator or 5. My only critique is it could have been longer (though my butt felt that 2 hours was just enough). This is definitely on my list of must dos when visiting NOLA or any other city for that matter! Thanks for a super relaxing afternoon!

This was a really fun, easy way to get away from the city a bit and spend time in a green space. The guides (Ally and River) we friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the ecosystems. Very chill and laid back, which is right in my lane. I'd definitely recommend this tour if you're in NOLA. The only thing we missed were the gators, but it was still a beautiful day in the swamp!

I did this two-hour Manchac Swamp kayak tour, led by AJ. It was my first time kayaking, and I had an absolute blast! The swamp was beautiful and serene, and even though our group didn't see any alligators, we did see some birds, a snail, and interesting mushrooms.Seeing the swamp via kayak was so much better than going on an airboat. We got to kayak through some narrow passages and really feel immersed in nature.AJ did a great job of pointing out interesting things to look at, and he also spoke about how the hurricanes have affected the area, as well as how global warming is endangering this beautiful environment. "Fleeting" is the word he used.My only gripe is that it was at times hard to hear AJ given how spread out the group could be in some parts of the swamp. I would recommend sticking close to your guide if you care about hearing everything.I appreciated the convenient pick-up location, the drop-offs, and all the supplies AJ brought. This was an excellent experience, and I plan to do the Honey Island kayak tour next time I'm in New Orleans.

Fun to be at water level ... saw a few gators, many exotic birds. Whitney plantation was a good way to get perspective on the sad experiences of the enslaved (distinct from other plantation tours that glorify this past part of our collective history).

This trip is amazing. My friend and I wanted to experience New Orleans on the less touristy side and this tour allowed us to do that. The pick up location was fairly close to our hotel in the french quarter and our tour guide Alex was amazing. We paddled through the swamps and saw gators, owls and cotton mouth snakes. We freaked out a bit because the gators come straight to the boat, but once we got comfortable, it was great. Definitely recommend if you want to see the swamps etc. Would 10/10 do again. just remember to bring sunscreen and bottles of water, since lunch is not provided.

This was the best part of our trip to New Orleans! Our guide Ryan was awesome. He had so many interesting facts to share about the swamp ecology. Ryan told us about the significance of "Spanish Moss" (goes by other names too, as we found out), about cypress trees, the invasive water hyacinth, and the animals that call the swamp home. It was really fascinating and beautiful. So peaceful. Highly recommend! Thanks for being a wonderful guide, Ryan!

A great experience! Gerald was super knowledgable around the area and its biology; our winter kayak trip included sights of birds and a sleeping raccoon. A fun out-of-the-city trip -- highly recommended!
