Now there are a number of companies that do tours in the NOLA area, and most have a variety of looks. On the New Orleans Ghost Adventure Tours we took. we had a number of choices, but went with the adult-only cemetery tour at night. This was fun. Since NOLA has a number of its famous aboveground cemeteries, your tour may not be exactly the same. Ours visited two: the Katrina Memorial and the Odd Fellows cemeteries, both at the end of the Canal Street trolley in the Navarre district. The Katrina Memorial cemetery is really a much older facility that was pressed into extra duty with the Katrina tragedy. For example, the older parts of the cemetery have Yellow Fever stories, while the Katrina stories involve unidentified people from the hurricane. The Odd Fellows cemetery was really eye opening, as we were able to see old aboveground plots and hear the history and culture behind that experience. We also got to see inside an empty one to understand how they were built and used. This tour gives you a little of the history of burials in NOLA. Highly recommended tour, and a must do at night. Our tour guide was Scott ... get him if you can ... top drawer guy.

Right I've been on plenty of ghost tours, I've even been on one in NOLA already! This was just such a bad tour I feel bad for the person who led it. It had. Bad start as well with the tour group calling me 10 mins before we had to be there demanding to know how long I'd be. I was 2 mins away and was so stunned by the attitude. When I arrived she was acting fine so maybe she was having a moment of stress. We've all been there. To spare you the details of the actual tour (mainly because we didn't learn or hear anything of note) by the end of it our whole group were bored and dissatisfied whispering amongst ourselves (note that none of us knew each other). There was actually a girl on the tour giving groups of us little tidbits about the area which were so much more interesting and engaging than the guide was giving. I stuck around at the end to listen to this girl (who's meant to be on the tour) actually give us a history lesson on the area around us. I don't know if the guide was new but my recommendation for anyone looking to tour is either pick another company, or pick a session during the day. There was at least 20 other groups out and about at 8pm which makes me think they are short on staff options for that session.

We had a wonderful time with Leah as our guide! The process of booking was very simple, and we chose the later start time. The check in process was easy and simple as well, and we got some drinks from Bon's to take on the walk with us. We started by the river as Leah told us the rules and some history, and then we began our walk. The walk was a good pace and not too much distance. We stopped at a few historic places, and learned a lot about the haunted history of the city, including a stop at a haunted bar in the middle to get another drink and continue our walk. Overall I'd suggest it for anyone interested in learning the history of New Orleans' darker side.

I don't remember the name of the guide for the walking ghost tour... he said he used to teach middle school or high school? Anyway, awesome guide and great storytelling. He was funny and engaging. He showed us so many cool spots in the French Quarter. Totally worth the $30 cost. The tour lasted a little over an hour.

I have been on many different ghost tours in many different cities, some cities multiple different companies tours and this was the best I've ever experienced. Lauren was our tour guide and she was fantastic. What I liked so much is this ghost tour was much more in depth than others. She spent time telling the whole story rather than a bunch of snippets of different hurried stories. Highly recommended.

Came to here for the first time with my family. I'm not a believer of the paranormal, but at the same time, I'm not trying to be proven wrong either lol. We just did a ghost tour because it was recommended so we did some research. There are several tours throughout the city, but we chose to do a bus tour because we've been walking all day and wanted a break. Anyways, our tour guide was Geoff and he was so pleasant. He was very knowledgeable and passionate about what he does which made this trip so awesome. He was very funny and made the whole tour very enjoyable. We went on a bus ride to a very private cemetery and learned about certain styles of graves and the reasons why they're designed the way they are. The difference between a normal grave an above-the-ground one. The history behind certain dead individuals let alone the cemetery alone, was very fascinating. We took a little 10mins break at a nearby cafe to use to the restroom and/or get drinks before we went onto another cemetery (Katrina Memorial) that was more public. This too, had so much fascinating history. I'm not one to go "ghost hunting" for fun. My family and I made sure we were very respectful to the areas we visited especially because we don't need to be upsetting anyone or anything. Geoff provided us a EMF (think that's what it was called) device that used to detect paranormal activity. It was pretty cool, but kind of spooky lol. It was recommended to take a bazillion photos so my family and I did. I didn't sort through the photos that my family took, because I was just exhausted from the overall day and just wanted to sleep plus I alone, took over a hundred photos. I believe I did catch some sort of spirit in one of my photo which was pretty cool and spooky lol. Overall, we enjoyed this tour very much. This was specifically about these 3 grave sites and the history behind it. This is not a tour about certain haunted buildings near the Jackson Square.Geoff and our bus driver, Cory were awesome, professional, and very friendly. We stayed in a nearby hotel so we walked. We met at a little bar called Bon's to checkin. The bus we rode on has A/C and can get a little cold so I'd recommend bringing a jacket. You can leave your jacket on the bus while you're walking around the cemetery.

At first I thought it was over priced. But I was appeasing my 12 year old daughter.Worth every penny. Tour guide Jeff is living encilopida of the cemetery's in New Orleans. He has experienced many careers in the field and is still active with organizations involved today. Funny, articulate, nolegable and pleasure to speak too. I highly recommend this tour even if you think it's not your cup of tea you will learn and laugh the entire time. Check it out.Thank you Jeff for a great evening.

If there was a way to choice your guide for the tour, this would not be my pick. Not only was he rude to us, but his stories were full of profanity. He spoke SO fast it was difficult to catch the stories. He also told the stories WHILE he was walking. Double difficult to hear the stories. Not personable, funny or polite. He may have been very knowledgeable But who could hear it?

This ghost tour was so informative! Our guide was such a great storyteller and so personable! I definitely would suggest doing this tour on your first day visiting so you can get acquainted with the French Quarter and have a better understanding of the history.
