New Orleans Food and Spirits

This place will always get 5 stats from me. The atmosphere, the food, and the spirits are always A+. I'm actually on my way back right now for another round. I don't live close to here so when I'm visiting family i try to make this an annual trip at Thanksgiving time. I've come here at least 8 times and lives it every time. Fish and shrimp platter, voodoo rolls, and Gumbo are my go to. They never disappoint. Last time I got a hurricane and yes, it was incredible and strong. I'm about 45 minutes out and I can't wait to sit down (hopefully at the bar) and have so great food.

Food was fair for New Orleans but the Waitresses did not pay attention to my to go order after I ate in the restaurant. This caused me to wait an extra 45 mins for food that should have been ready when the bill was paid. Advice. Less sweet heart / hey love / ok baby and more of paying attention to the orders.

This restaurant has been a family favorite for years. Everything about it is great, especially post-renovation. The space is bright and inviting and lends itself to long visits. The servers are attentive yet unobtrusive. Like many customers, I look forward to the voodoo rolls, but my new favorite is the stuffed catfish with a lemon drop martini.The one negative comment I have is that oysters are not available until 4p. Otherwise, I will continue to dine here with my family and friends.Enjoy!

I love! Love! Love this place. It's a simple menu with an impactful taste throughout. The staff is kind, courtesy, and read to serve. The ambiance has a good vibe. Sorry Oysters are not served here until after 4:00 p.m. If you are in the area, this place is a must try.

This was the first restaurant we ate at during the most recent trip to Louisiana. We stayed in Gretna and got pedicures in Harvey and was referred to this restaurant by a customer and one the nail artist. We walked in to order takeout, and it was a busy bustling restaurant. Plenty of tables full, plenty of customers waiting on orders. Phone ringing - all good signs. We ordered the seafood gumbo, seafood sampler, and Voodoo crawfish rolls. Every single item was delicious. I especially enjoyed the crawfish rolls, which were hot, and I couldn't wait to get back to the hotel to bite one open to taste- that occurred in the car, as you can see in the picture. I didn't care for the mustard sauce that accompanied the roll, but honestly, you didn't need it. However, a spicy chill sauce would work. My husband said that the gumbo was too seafoody, but he isn't the seafood fan, and I thought the gumbo was good. A great asset to the West Bank!

The food was good, the service was fast and it was very quiet. The voo-doo rolls are always my favorite along with the strawberry lemonade. The time around I went for a late lunch but it's know to be crowded on the weekends or some evenings.

Consistent taste. I've been going here for some years now. I love the ambiance and upgraded atmosphere! Service is always attentive. But don't expect any chargrilled oysters during the week. Too bad!

Ordered food for take out. Lady taking the orders was nice. Food came out in a timely manner. There's a nice seating area to sit and wait which is definitely a nice touch. I ordered the blackened shrimp pasta. The presentation is a little blah. It definitely doesn't look that great but it was actually VERY good. The flavor on the shrimp is phenomenal. It pairs well with the creaminess of the sauce on the noodles. And portions are huge!

Great food, every time my family goes out to this restaurant there awesome here. Oysters raw or charbroil finger licking good and the stuffed grilled fish with pasta and shrimp sauce. Get the voodoo rolls for your appet. That stuffed catfish grilled with the shrimp pasta ooohhh my gosh I just can't stop ordering it whenever we come out here

Most recommend for New Orleans foods, with affordable price and nice ambiance. The service is great too. Do not forget to choose Rolls and Gumbo.Ps: it's a little bit salt to me (Asian's taste)
