Clean spacious airport. I didn't have my TSA pre-check and was able to move through the lines pretty well.

Recently attended a nursing conference with 13,000 attendees. It was quite large, as all are, but this one seemed on the newer side with renovated bathrooms. Food was average, which is better than the below average food at other venues I've been to in the past. Locations of breakout sessions were quite far apart though, and there was lack of staff to help wayfind, which was quite frustrating. It didn't seem like they were staff of the event center, but rather random staff that were hired to just stand there. However, the location of the convention was pretty close to French Quarter, which is where most tourists and conference goers stay anyway - it'd be a quick 15 min bus ride from the shuttle from hotel in French Quarter, or a good, easy 1 mile walk that is very flat (easy depending on the weather - hopefully not too humid when you're there, and not raining!) Wouldn't mind coming back here for a conference in the future (although hopefully not anytime soon - maybe 10 years from now)

Came out to the convention center for the Superbowl experience last night. Couple minutes walk from the warehouse district, we followed the sign around to be admitted in. The place is huge and the staff on site was courteous and flag people over to the right areas. Well maintained venue, seems well equipped to accommodate, with possibility to park street side or within paid parking spaces.

Beautiful convention center. Tons of square footage in great shape with a lot of opportunities for different conferences. Many large rooms a food court in the middle. Kiosks along the way with coffee, snacks and quick food. Very nice with lots of New Orleans references. Signage everywhere to get people where they need to go. Sits right next to the Riverwalk Outlets with lots of food options in addition to shopping.

Was here for conference event 14,000 in attendance. The food was dreadful , stale and poorly executed. For the conference price there wasn't a lot of options. Lines for bathrooms , rude unhelpful security. The size is a bit intimidating and the breakout sessions were at opposite ends of the convention hall. Twenty to forty minutes between sessions and still couldn't get to the conference center. Not impressed at all for a city who is normally nice and welcoming. Didn't feel it here !

This place is gigantic! I was here for a graduation ceremony. Make sure you manage your time well because there is lots of walking and it is a big facility. Since I am from out-of-state, there is a rideshare pickup for Uber/Lyft at a designated area outside Hall G (or so). The security guard was helpful to direct where I needed to go. Nice looking facility, looks clean. Just lots of walking! I wish there were signs for Uber/Lyft from inside the building so I wouldn't have pissed off my driver for not knowing where I was going. Overwise, it was OK.

I recently attended an ARVO convention and was impressed by the size of this convention center. It was massive! What an excellent choice in venue for a convention of this size! The building is beautiful and clean, and was only 10 minutes walking distance from my hotel. Very convenient location!

Even as an event planner, I found this convention center a little confusing to navigate. Maybe it's because I'm dyslexic when it comes to numbers. Lots of escalators to different meeting room ranges. Carry a map with you if possible... this place is HUGE. Don't wear high heels. On the bright side, it IS wonderfully air conditioned to protect you from that New Orleans heat. And the meeting spaces themselves are clean and spacious. When I arrived, I ordered a grilled ham and cheese sandwich at one of the food concession stands. Very typically overpriced food like at a concert venue. Small portions and dry (washed it down with blue Powerade) but the cashiers were nice. Close proximity to restaurants and bars nearby. Just find the best exit out of the convention center using Google Maps. Overall not my favorite city or venue but perfect for massive events.
