New Orleans Distillers

What an incredible experience to meet a fellow South African, Adrie De Waal. She happens to be the distiller at the New Orleans Distillery.My friends and I went here for my birthday and had a fun tasting & tour.Adrie shared so much knowledge of her passion in making high quality alcohol and you can taste it in every drop.I highly recommend braking away from the over crowded French Quarter madness and have an intimate experience on a private tasting tour. Thank you New Orleans Distillery for the wonderful educational experience.

I just purchased from New Orleans Distillers a bottle of single rye whiskey (100% rye, not blended). Very smooth with a nice finish with notes of cherries or sherry. I am a Glenlivet single malt scotch lover but I may have found a new favorite whiskey instead of single malt scotch. It's a must try.

This is an update review. It's been over two years since I passed this distillery and I dropped in again. I did a full flight of tastings. Vodka, white rum, gold rum, rye whiskey, bourbon whiskey, honey liqueur and Cabernet Sauvignon Liqueur. To keep it simple. Wow! All were great. I loved the gold rum as it is barrel aged and not artificially colored like most. The rye and bourbon were exceptionally good. The rye should compete at Grand Prix level. Beats the pig by a mile. The bourbon is delightful and competes against the big boys. A special delight is their barrel aged honey liqueur and their Cabernet Sauvignon liqueur. Those are spectacular. Unique and real winners. I thought it was great that all the products are certified Louisiana manufacture. Great stuff for the pelican state. And yes, I picked up a few bots. Free tshirt too! I'm posting new pics of the new stuff. Nice!

I have never left a review on Yelp before, but after my outstanding experience with Adrie at New Orleans Distillers I just had to. Adrie was kind enough to give me a personal tour of the facility, and being so incredibly knowledgeable, she was able to explain the entire process to someone like me (who knows absolutely nothing about it). We then had a tasting. Adrie's knowledge of her products was also exemplary as she made some outstanding recommendations and I had a lovely time. I highly recommend New Orleans Distillers, make sure you have plenty of space for all of the bottles you will buy!!!

This place is really cool, a hidden gem. Nevermind the fact that the alcohol they produce is really smooth, very tasty and expertly made. It recently opened to the public for tours. When we went the tour guide was extremely knowledgeable about the process and the product,she was actually the distiller. They are by appointment only so make sure to call ahead but it's a great idea for a group of friends, co-workers, convention goers, whatever!
