Dined on the patio, which was absolutely lovely--great ambiance. Service was attentive and friendly, with great recommendations that helped us navigate the menu.Portion sizes were generous, making it a great value. The seafood stood out--both the crab cakes and fried shrimp were favorites, perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. Everything had that authentic Creole touch.

I went to this spot on a food tour. It was an upscale location with a courtyard patio that served classic Cajun-creole dishes. The service was appreciated. We were provided with the gumbo yaya. It was a dark variety of gumbo with chicken and andouille sausage pieces present. This was very tasty with tons of flavors from all the seasonings present. The texture was ideal and there was a slight heat factor, but nothing overwhelming at all. It was a very comforting dish that I wished I were able to have more of.Will I go back? I would.

The interior is pretty, sow history but well maintained. Came on a weekday evening and wa able to find parking around the corner on street. Upon entering, greeted by friendly waitress. My kids told her we were celebrating a birthday so she planned on giving me a complimentary dessert but we didn't end up taking it since we just flew in and everyone was tired and ready for the hotel. The foods were ok. Crab cake was not my taste, since I didn't enjoy the cheese initially but my son enjoyed it. Fried pickles were crunchy. Catfish with jambalaya was ok but the pasta was too greasy and I like mine more saucy.

Glad I was able to stop by this place. It was well worth it. Down the street from Jackson Square. Ambiance: There two sections for dining. One to have more open seating and the other was more enclosed inmate dining. Service: If you plan to visit, I recommend requesting for Erineesh to be one of your waiters. She provided exceptional service and greeting. Her co-workers were also helpful and provided great service as well. Every knowledgeable about the menu and was willing to assist with any questions or concerns I might have had at my time of dining. Food: I was very impressed with the selection of food and of course the taste of the food. Again, everything was good cooked to order and was willing to modify anything that I wanted on the menu. I enjoyed the portion size and the price of the meal was very reasonable. Overall: I would recommend this place for dinner or lunch. It is in the heart of the French Quarter and it is walking distance from Bourbon Street.

New Orleans Creole Cookery is a charming spot in the French Quarter that claims to offer a true taste of Creole cuisine. What We Tried: * Firecracker Shrimp (Starters): These shrimp were incredibly tasty, crispy on the outside with a flavorful, spicy kick that was a perfect start to the meal. * Pasta Orleans: My husband ordered the Pasta Orleans, which featured sautéed shrimp served over fettuccine, spinach, and grape tomatoes in a Creole mushroom sauce. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, but the dish lacked a bit of the bold flavors we expected. * Jambalaya: I opted for the Jambalaya, a Louisiana tradition with chicken and sausage smothered with Cajun spices and rice. While the dish was hearty, it could have used a bit more spice to really bring out the authentic Creole flavor.Atmosphere:The ambiance at New Orleans Creole Cookery is warm and inviting, with a cozy, rustic feel. The dining area is decorated with vintage New Orleans memorabilia, giving it a local, homey vibe. It's a great spot for a relaxed meal with friends or family, offering both indoor and outdoor seating.Service:The service was friendly and attentive. Our server made great recommendations and ensured we had everything we needed. The atmosphere was laid-back, and the staff made us feel right at home.Overall Thoughts:New Orleans Creole Cookery is a good choice for anyone looking to experience authentic Creole flavors in the heart of the French Quarter. While our entrees lacked a bit of spice, the food was still satisfying, and the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. This is a solid option, but I'm sure there are better Creole spots in the area. Maybe next time we're visiting and decide to return, we might have a better experience. I say give it a try if it's near you, but don't be afraid to explore other options in the French Quarter as well.

Came here expecting seafood boil but what we got was boiled seafood. It was very plain, lacked seasoning and depth. The texture of the corn was terrible, extremely overcooked that it had no sweetness, just mushy. Gator bites were also nothing out of the ordinary. It's just fried gator sausage rather than actual pieces of alligator. This is a good place for large parties, they have room to set up bigger tables.

Please ask for Justin !! He was hands down the best part of this place -- made me come back a second time because he was so great! The next time I had Brandon -- he was just as amazing !!! Oysters raw were better than the charbroiled ones in my opinion . The gumbo yaya is chicken and sausage BUT MIX IT WITH THE RED BEANS AND RICE ( Justin was on to something ) Crawfish étouffée was phenomenal! So much crawfish I couldn't believe it Gator bites are a GO with or without the sauce . The bread pudding was a treat from Justin and baby I tipped him for it cuz my god it was heaven on earth . We sat outside the first trip and it was so beautiful. The next night we sat inside but it was freezing in there lol just being a jacket

Vegetarian pasta with red sauce was great! It was pretty spicy but that's a positive thing for me. I paired it with a glass of the Languedoc chardonnay and was a fan. Great for vegetarians that want to experience some of the local flavors/seasonings.

Absolutely amazing experience! The food was good; the creole pasta was very tasty, and seasoned amazingly! We also had the fried pickles and the crab cake napoleon! I recommend sharing the crab cake since it is very rich, but so delicious!! The drinks were good! We sat inside on our first visit, and came back and sat outside the second time. Our server, Terrill, was super attentive and friendly! He was helpful, funny, and also very knowledgeable about the menu and offered us recommendations. We loved the food and service so much that we came back for my brother's 21st bday. Terrill welcomed us back and took care of us. We also met the general manager, who was very friendly as well. Overall delicious food, amazing service and lovely location.
