I am so thankful for the opportunity to study here. What an awesome location to learn about Christian ministry. After graduating in 2010, I am still living and serving here and enjoy my connection with NOBTS

Post office was kind enough to sell me a stamp and an envelope. They printed me a copy of extension to file my taxes even tho there were none out. Had a nice chat with the missionary behind the counter. Everyone was super cordial. Great lobby to take a load off and relax. If you show up on wed you get free popcorn in the afternoon with your choice of flavors! Great coffee shop and deli. Super book store. I felt like I stepped into the America of a different/far better era! Well done! Customer service and kindness are not dead in the crescent city after all. Best 1.25$ I spent all day

I recently stayed at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary while on a two week service trip in New Orleans. The campus is located in Gentilly, just outside of the 9th Ward, an area gravely damaged by Hurricane Katrina. The campus was completely renovated after the Hurricane, however, to them renovations did not include such modern amenities like wireless internet access or televisions (anywhere). On the whole campus, there was one television and internet access in one building that closed at 7PM. Given that this place is in Gentilly, it is kind of in the middle of nowhere, and therefore without a car, one cannot do anything. All that is around the campus are a few fast food places (nothing different from NY) and a deli/liquor store. It is also not safe, considering the Wal-Greens down the road was held up in an armed robbery where an employee was shot twice. What made this place just short of hell on Earth was the kind and friendly residents on campus and the kitchen staff whom I spent a lot of time speaking with. They truly made the time spent there more enjoyable and were able to introduce us to unknown facts and history about New Orleans and it's culture. I would probably only stay here again if I was forced to or if I had a car. Parking is easy on the campus, and anyone can "rent" a room (dorm) on the campus, which I found to be interesting.

I'm not in school here or anything, but I visit their book store often which I love. This is a pleasant campus. Ever have some time or want to read or write check our their student center that also houses the book store. It very relaxing lots of sofa and chair for you to sit quietly or with a group with the wonderful sounds of a waterfall around you. I absolutely love it. Also their cafe has some yummy lunch for extremely cheap! Check it out one day.
