Nelson Bay Beads

We enjoyed looking at all the beautiful rocks and gems here, plus the section of disc golf supplies in the back. It was mostly gems and rocks, and I was hoping for more smaller beads for jewelry-making supplies, but it was still fun to look through the extensive collection of rocks, minerals, and even some meteorites. Prices ranged from a couple cents to a couple hundred dollars. You could definitely find something for every budget.

Really cute shop with a good selection of beads, stones, and some handmade collectibles. I got myself a strand of well priced, beautiful waist beads. The owner says that they are sourced from a trader that gets them from Ghana. This place is tucked in the back of the Garden District Marketplace, so it's easy to miss. There's an entrance from a side street. But we stumbled upon it from the vintage shop that it shares a roof under. The owner is kind and friendly.

Beads and stones galore! I could see myself getting into a lot of good trouble here in my desire to make jewelry. Also, they happen to have a lot of options for discs for disc golf and seem to be quite popular. Everyone was very friendly here. There is just so much to look at! Everything was reasonably priced and the store was well organized.
