If you're wandering the vibrant streets of New Orleans, a stop at the iconic Napoleon House is an absolute must! Nestled in the heart of the French Quarter, this charming establishment is steeped in history and brimming with character. The moment you step inside, you're embraced by the warm, inviting atmosphere that perfectly captures the spirit of the Crescent City.During my recent visit, I indulged in the famous warm Italian muffaletta, and let me tell you, it was hands down the best I've had in all of New Orleans! The bread was perfectly crusty, while the layers of savory meats and tangy olives danced a delightful tango on my taste buds. It's a true testament to the culinary magic that this city is known for.Next up was the fried catfish po'boy, and oh my goodness, it was off the hook amazing! The catfish was crispy on the outside and oh-so-flaky on the inside, served up in a soft, crusty baguette that had me wishing I could eat this delightful sandwich every day. And don't forget the toppings--the fresh lettuce and zesty remoulade brought everything together in a symphony of flavors. To wash it all down, I opted for the refreshing Pimm's Cup, a classic cocktail that felt like a cool breeze on a warm New Orleans day. With its fruity notes and effervescence, this drink was the perfect companion to my meal, making me feel like I was lounging under the shade of the beautiful courtyard. The service at Napoleon House was as charming as the surroundings, with friendly staff who made sure my experience was nothing short of fantastic. Whether you're a local or a first-time visitor, this gem offers a slice of New Orleans that you won't want to miss. So, if you find yourself in the Big Easy, make your way to Napoleon House for a delightful meal that captures the heart and soul of NOLA. Trust me, your taste buds will thank you!#NapoleonHouse #NewOrleans #FrenchQuarter #Muffaletta #Poboy #Foodie #NolaEats #CrescentCity #PimmsCup #EatLocal #TravelNOLA #FoodTravel #CulinaryJourney #NOLA #TasteTheCulture #NolaFoodies #FoodLovers

My friend and I each got an order of gumbo and shared sides of red beans and rice, jambalaya, and a quarter muffuletta. We really covered a lot of bases, and also each got a Pimm's sampler :)Overall, the food was great! I really enjoyed it all.Service was fine but not too engaging. We were here on a rainy evening (there was no wait) and it was VERY dark and dimly lit inside. I had to use the flashlight on my phone to properly read the menu. There's also writing all over the walls, which obviously seems encouraged but seems a bit strange to me as this building is a National Historic Landmark. It just seems bizarre that defacing the walls is encouraged, but it's not my business I guess. In any case, it was an enjoyable meal and I would recommend a visit!

We needed greens on our visit to New Orleans. The menus where we ate for the most part provided sparing veggie options. So, when I saw the pictures of salads at the Napoleon House, I was sold - and it didn't disappoint. The salads were just what we needed. The drinks were on point too (try the Englishman!). The ambiance was mellow in their outdoor courtyard and full of character inside (we ate here twice in 4 days). Service was good as well.So recommend if you want a refreshing salad. I could really eat that salad every day for a week and be happy.

Great service and food! I ordered the lemon-parmesan salad with chicken which was super refreshing and delicious and got the Pimm's cup flight! The classic Pimm's was so good! I tried a bite of my friend's jambalaya which was really flavorful and although it wasn't my favorite, my friends enjoyed their Tuscan chicken croissant sandwich a lot!

Josephine would be proud! Everything was spectacular with the exception of the Pimm's Flight... that came up short! (Ha!). But oh man, I fell in love with their Sazarac Cocktail which I had at the bar!But everything from the Boudin Appetizer to pork chop sandwich to the warm muffuletta sandwich was excellent. The muffuletta is my favorite sandwich of all time (the olives and bread can make or break it) and their version was one of my favorites. It was warmed and that really brought out the aroma of the sesame seeds! I'd go back for that warm flavorful muffuletta! The men's room (through the courtyard) had a small trough for which to urinate (in pairs apparently). If you haven't experienced a trough before, this was one of the smallest ones I've seen (which is what the guy next to me said and I hope he was talking about the trough). This place can get busy, but take a chance and give it a try if you're in NOLA! And with no "real" place to get the OG Muffuletta, this might be the best choice (and may be even better than the OG... just sayin')

Warm muffuletta and a Pimm's cup!Casual restaurant in the quarter. Good food every time. I always get half a muffuletta and Pimm's cup. My wife usually gets the muffuletta salad. Its kinda of our go to spot these days. If you come at lunchtime or on the weekends there can be a pretty decent line to get in at times

The original Pimm's cup! I got the flight which was a good way to try them. Courtyard was cute and fun to sit outside. It can be crowded and there can be a line so you might need to wait but it's well worth it. The service was super nice and friendly.

We sat out on the heated patio on a cooooolllldddd day. Stayed plenty warm. I had the pork chop sandwich. That breading was amazing! My buddy loves the muffaletta. The hubby tried the alligator sausage. Everything was outstanding. Server was slow, food came out fast!

Always a stop on our visits - we had our wedding reception on the second floor eons ago - the first to do so after the original owners remodeled. It is great to see nothing has changed in spite of new Brennan ownership - kudos! The signature drink is the Pimm's cup and now they have a few variations. A half Muffaletta is the standard order - the full sandwich is for 2.Excellent service.Damages for 2 was $80.Come for the vibe and the good food. If the weather is nice - the back patio is charming.

OMG I did not know I could taste a sandwich this good until I came here! We got the hot pastrami po-boy and fried catfish po-boy. Both were incredibly good. In particular, I can say that every part of the hot pastrami was delicious, I was in shock of how much I enjoyed it. I also ordered a virgin Pimm's and it was a refreshing drink on the side of my sandwich. Oh and if you need a side - I'd recommend the Italian cheesy bread, it was a great combo of cheese, pesto, and tomato. One thing to note, the ambiance is pretty dark so you might need to use your phone flashlight to look at the menu. It does add to the vibe so it's not bothersome otherwise. Other than that, the space is amazing and historic so take a chance to look around at the walls. Also, if you see a line know that this restaurant does not take reservations. From our experience, we were there around 5-6pm and it was a small wait but we enjoyed talking to our host. Service otherwise was pretty fast.
