What a lovely hidden gem of a restaurant. When we got out of the uber we weren't sure we were in the right place. We found the fence entrance and was transported to a lovely outdoor garden patio dining experience. The food was delicious, with its French influences. We had a great lunch with an appetizer or two: Smoked Oysters and the Escargot; the lunch was a croque madame; dessert was a sorbet with calvados. DELICIOUS!We were not in a rush, and it was not busy, so the service was perfect. Not rushed and not slow.We recommend this place!

What a gem, with a well-thought, French-ish menu with Asian (yuzu, sake) and Middle Eastern (za'atar, I think) touches, served in a delightful setting. There is an indoors with a bar and a handful of tables, but it's the lovely patio and garden that occupy far more space and appear to be what it's all about at N7.It was a chilly but sunny brunchtime (Friday, 11/29/24) when my husband and I enjoyed our first N7 experience. Even though I love eating outdoors, I'm always leery of outdoor heaters blasting their rays onto me at outdoor restaurants, but N7's equipment did the job without curling my hair. I liked that a lot.The brunch menu was compact but offered a good range of options, hot and cold. Overall we loved the food, but there were a couple of near-misses.FIRST COURSELyonnaise Salad: 12/10. The bacon in this thing must have been smoked four times. Between it, the perfectly poached egg and the mustardy vinaigrette, this was a great, great salad. Big, too...a very good value.Mussels steamed in sake and garlic: 7/10. The buttery broth would have made for a delicious soup course on its own, and the portion of large, tender mussels was huge. The points off are because of the sand. Only about every third or fourth mussel was grit-free. That was disappointing considering how good they otherwise tasted.SECOND COURSESteak Frites: 10/10. Chewy, flavorful beef (hanger, I think) cooked to a perfect mid-rare, with fries in that nice in-between world of not-too-limp-but-not-too-crispy.Salmon Croque Monsieur: 4/10. This was a tea sandwich, not a croque. The bread was lightly toasted but otherwise this was a tea sandwich, with cream cheese, cucumber and the smoked salmon. A croque (monsieur, madame) is a hot sandwich, baked or fried, so this one startled (and disappointed) me.WINE LISTGet out your reading glasses. The list is arranged across a bunch of little sheets of paper in a little clipboard, and the line spacing is TIGHT. At first skim you'll be hard pressed to find bottles under three figures, but if you dig a little they're there. We chose a Vouvray for around $65.We imagined how delightful the grounds would be at dinnertime and will go back for sure. We'll think twice about the mussels, though.

Food and service here was fantastic. There's a great vegetarian selection Nd every item I ordered was delicious. The special parsnip soup had a nice ginger kick and was seasoned well. The tempura cauliflower was scrumptious and paired well with the cheese sauce and carrot archar which the eater had the flexibility to integrate. It seemed like it could have been a strange combo, but worked really well. The flatbread was crisp and tasty. The olives and fennel were a nice touch and the flavors worked well together.

I came here a couple of years ago and remembered good food. I forgot about terrible service if you sit at the bar. Why serve people at the bar if there are a complete afterthought! Got the duck and fig tartes flambees. 20 min layer someone asked if I like it! Ok. Some of the figs were added after the cook and we're crazy sweet. Rest were good. Looked good. Almost good NO LOVE IN MY FOOD OR DRINK. Shame. I sought out this place.

My wife and I finally tried this spot for the first time for our anniversary. With most of their seating being outside you want to be sure to choose the time of the year you visit wisely. Luckily for us it was a perfect October night. The ambiance for me is what sets this place apart from other restaurants in the city, it's a quite romantic setting. For those who like wine, their offerings are quite extensive to say the least. The branzino was simply incredible! Definitely will be back to try more soon!

Impressive meal(s), efficient, informed and friendly service, eclectic, skilled menu selection, simply a really nice place and atmosphere in a great neighborhood, one of the best meals we ate during our week in New Orleans!

The place: we sat outside, which was a dream for these chicagoans in February. Twinkle lights decorated the area. Service was patient and helpful and spaced things pretty appropriately. The taste: the cheese board - what a steal. Overflowing with grapes and many other delicious bites. A really good value for I think $25. I'd maybe skip the boiled eggs. It took a bit for us to peel them . Frog legs were delightful. Everything else - drinks to dessert, very well done. I may have enjoyed the rabbit crepe more than my man, but to each their own. I would say I wasn't in love with the snails, but I was determined to try them again, and they were prepared nicely, I was just searching for something specific. My face: shocked at the level of quality and variety of the food paired with the cost - felt like a very good value. Bill was $125 pre-tip for two of us with a few drinks.

What a wonderful gem!! An old colleague recommended this place so my foodie friends and I decided to finally go. Beautiful decor and ambiance. Definitely date worthy. There is indoor and outdoor seating, complete with heaters if it's chilly outside. Off street parking available. There were soooo many good things on the menu that I HAVE to come back to try more. Pardon the poor lighting on my pics..it was a sexy vibe in there. Lol The special that night was venison and it was tender deliciousness! Fried frog legs had subtle, tasty flavor. The fries were obviously homemade and stellar! Grilled bok choy with almonds was a winner too. Our server was very familiar with menu and super helpful. There's a full bar too. Great find!

Food was absolutely great and the atmosphere delightful - service was a little more haphazard than we would have liked but staff were pleasant and we were patient with the things that had to be fixed (had to wait a while before we were seated - absence of a host, given the dinner menu rather than lunch, baguette was stale). All in all would definitely recommend.
