The gumbo was good. I didn't order anything else. Conveniently located by Gate C6 for my post-blizzard departure.

4 & 1/2... Not sure what is going on with the collective rating at the time of this reviews drafting but I very much felt compelled to write this one to due my part to correct it. While it's important to note that I only had cup of the Creole gumbo here while waiting for my departing flight back to NYC, it also must be emphasized that this was surely one of the best Gumbos I've ever had, and more importantly quite likely the best food of any kind I've ever had inside an airport anywhere. The flagship location of this establishment, apparently in a far flung marina way out on the lake on the outskirts of the city got put onto my radar when doing advance research before our recent last minute jaunt down, and when I saw an advertisement on the airport wall upon arrival I made a mental note to make sure and hit it for a final bite and just my luck it literally wound up being located smack dab in front of my returning departure gate. The piping hot bowl "Old School" gumbo was a dark brown broth loaded with generous chunks of the New Orleans holy trinity, which of course would be celery, onions and tomatoes, as well as generous heapings of cubes of Tasso ham and andouille sausage slices, as well as an extremely photogenic blue crab claw popping out of the top like a mythical sea-monster rising out of a haunted lagoon. Needless to say removing the sweet and succulent claw meat out of the exoskeleton wasn't pretty and I made quick and appreciative use of the plastic gloves generously offered by my amiable server who was doing her polite best to hide her laughter at what a mess I was. Shame and stained shirt aside, it was profoundly deliocious, the flavorful spiced broth offering both a serious kick still balanced by the wonderful medley of other flavors provided by the various base ingredients, and balanced off some more with a smattering of nourishing rice mixed in. Can't speak for the other menu options but I can surely say based off this experience, not only would I be willing to venture out for a significant trip out to the boondocks of NOLA on a future visit to check out the actual location of this establishment, but I would also find it hard to imagine taking any flight out of NOLA from here out without grabbing one last bowl of Gumbo here for the road, no matter how stuffed I would invariably already be.

After a snowy 4 hour delay from NY TO LA I needed some gumbo asap! I wasn't expecting the food to be so fresh, so delicious as I came off the plane. The amount of meat in my dish and the seasoning was superb and I usually do not like spicy but this was a good amount of creole spice. I placed my order and the minute they opened the back door to the kitchen, I knew by my nose that I was in the right place. The rice, andouille sausage and the unexpectedly giant piece of crab was just perfection. I was too hungry to take a picture but trust me, don't sleep on this place.

My greeter/order taker/server, Nelshaun was kind, friendly, and helpful, even though it was 6:30 on Monday morning!I ordered the Congress Drive (a street in New Orleans, not a political statement). The andouille/ham/gruyere on croissant was fabulously good, although a little mayo and hot sauce would have made it decadent. The grilled potatoes were surprisingly perfect, hot, tender, and lightly salted. While I don't know if this was the best choice at the airport, it was the best choice I made all morning. I will definitely visit this place if I'm ever at Concourse C at MSY again.

Honestly this place doesn't have one area it wins in. They bungled my order. I asked for the fried chicken wrap and got grilled - no big deal but the chicken was undercooked and gross. For 23 dollars this is unacceptable. I had to throw it away on my flight because of how disgusting it was.

The burgers here are so dry! They are tasteless and overpriced. I know it is airport food, but it is just bad.

Note: this is more about the service and employees. Unfortunately, I can't review the food since I didn't get to eat it personally since the airport smell combined with the food smell made me nauseous. It wasn't food related. On a good note, my friend tried it and it was ok.Service: you order your food item, pay, and wait for your name to be called. It takes 7-8 minutes so make sure you have time to wait for the cooked food.I ordered the voodoo burger and it was a full meal.

Well well well what have we here. The munch factory at the MSY hello hello hello. Making my way to my gate in I see the flame and immediately I know and recognize the logo. Is the munch factory.

Mango chicken salad sandwich was delicious and big flat soft fries. I wasn't expecting that but delighted. I thought it was a grilled chicken with salsa but read it wrong. Probably wouldn't have ordered if I knew but glad I did. Would do it again and that's saying a lot for airport food.

Everything has peanut oil in it. Beware--it's not clearly labeled on their menu at all. Luckily I mentioned I had a peanut allergy before ordering. Then I learned that they made everything with peanut oil. I told them that should be a lot clearer in the signage. Cashier was extremely rude and defensive. Would not recommend for anyone with an allergy
