Mr. Lester's Steakhouse

Went for New Years Eve. I will call them "cooks" because no way they are "chefs", had a chance to shine, but failed miserably. Horrible food. The waiter was nice. Extremely overpriced.

5 stars for ambiance and service. 4 stars for the food. While everything was yummy, my lobster was a little tough, and the sides were a little under seasoned. The prime rib was huge but very fatty. I could eat the BBQ shrimp and grits every day for the rest of my life. Lobster bisque was rich and heavenly. It's definitely a place you have to experience a few times. It's worth it. Never had to ask for anything, we were well taken care of.

Mr. Lester's has become part of my family's tradition for birthdays or mothers/fathers' day. We love the ambiance & have grown to know the staff very well. The food and service are consistently great.

Took the wife here for our anniversary dinner. The ribeye was good, but people had compared it to Ruth's Chris and it wasn't that good. Wife had the crab cake and didn't care for it but the real star was the crab dip appetizer that was on special. The bread basket they bring out with an assortment of butters was really good too. We'll go back and try other things.

Made a reservation for a loved ones Birthday. Still had to wait 30 mins. Wtf is up with that? Most of the food was great! Service was super friendly.Seriously, they should invest in training their host properly, because they suck at there job. Poor thing, It's really not that hard to be a host. (I was a host, I should know). Get it together Mr. Lesters!

Mr. Lester's steaks are really good, the ambience is nice and the coffee setup at the end of the meal (order it!!) is pretty impressive. I'm in Houston writing this review because I see the other two star and that's not fair. I've been here three times over the years and can't wait to get back. It's a dining experience you don't want to miss.

The best restaurant in the area by far. Fine dining, fabulous service, fantastic food, superb atmosphere. We are regulars here and we always have the fresh coffee, espresso, and either the whole chocolate raspberry praline tort or the bread pudding.

It's a shame what this place has become. We went with a party of 12 for a special occasion and were sat at a really small table that was meant for 8. And they were not busy at all so could've sat us at a more accommodating spot. We did have 2 servers that could get you a drink in about 10 mins. Food was alright but service was a total miss. Probably won't be back.

Showed up on time for our reservations, was seated right away. We waited 18 minutes before we saw our waitress. The hostess served us water. After ordering our drinks. We waited 45 for them to arrive. Our appetizers arrived before them. The crab cake was lacking crabmeat. The steak was so tough it had to be sent back. The service was extremely slow. A manager never came by to check on us. Extremely disappointed in the whole experience. 4 out of the 6 of us were first time diners and would not return. It was a let down for my birthday celebration.

I went for my birthday rt before the restaurant had to close. I really did like this place but lately they have going down hill. I ordered a huge cowboy ribeye steak. When they brought it to me it was so small that I started to laugh because I thought it was a joke. I told them I ordered the cowboy ribeye and they said this is it. I for sure won't be going back.
