Mr Joe's Sushi

I have ordered to-go sushi multiple times, and it has always been pretty good. Not spectacular, but consistently good. This was the first time dining in. The service was excellent, could not have been better. The sushi was average. The reason for the three star review, the atmosphere. The dining area is just not visually stimulating. I love old buildings, I love old houses that have been converted into restaurants. I love character and charm. I just didn't connect with this one, even though I really tried to like it. The reason we chose this place is because another local sushi place has absolutely terrible service with rude staff- side eye to Nagoya. The other local sushi place didn't open until 5pm- side eye to Kirin. Mr Joe's was open, provided excellent service, but the atmosphere was lacking. "2 out of 3 ain't bad" -Meatloaf.

Not a bad place considering it is in the middle of nowhere.I like the quaint old house it is located.A little surprising that there is no service but they have kept the prices reasonable to make up for that. Food was slightly above par.We needed a decent ( non fast food ) place to eat and this 1 fit the bill.Try their choc chip cookies and their mango ice cream.

Best sushi around town in my opinion. It is not your typical sushi place. It is catered towards to-go orders rather than dining in, I believe this is because they are a family operated business and have a small staff. You can dine in, the food is served in to go boxes and you serve yourself drinks. I love their sushi and I'm very specific when it comes to sushi. Price for portion is nice! Would highly recommend the winter roll, royal roll, poke salad, salmon appetizer

The quality of the fish is really not great. The rolls are big however it just doesn't taste fresh. The prices are pretty high too and the quality doesn't deliver. They also don't have a server. If you dine in you will be served your food in to go containers which is really wasteful and just kind of strange. The people were nice. Overall, it was just a really strange and kind of a regretful spend on going out to eat. We got 3 rolls and spent $30. It felt like a big waste because didn't really enjoy the food at all.

I got the beef with broccoli and sesame chicken lunch special and both really disappointed. The beef tasted like it was from a frozen skillet meal. The fried rice had no egg and tasted old. We did not like the egg drop soup or salad either. The sesame chicken tasted burnt and was floating in grease. When I called to complain I was told that I was wrong, the food is great, and they sell so much of it. We did not eat our lunch. This was the worst Asian food I've had in a long time.

Had a big lunch with a bunch of friends and food was great! All orders correct even though everyone had separate orders with special requests and food came out quickly. Great variety of options, sushi, tempura, appetizers, curry, etc. Great place for lunch or dinner!

This is a great twist on an old favorite. By old favorite, I mean the location is a former German restaurant/pastry shop.So it's kind of funny to see it as a sushi place now. With that said, it is a great sushi restaurant and a really nice location to enjoy sushi takeout or dine inThey have a back room you can reserve if you'd like to have a large group or a party which is so much fun. The back room is nice with lots of windows and air conditioning in the hot summerThe variety of rolls and the idea of making your own sushi roll from choices on the menu is nothing but delicious.The only thing I was disappointed in, from a restaurant that serves Asian food, was that the Iced tea was stale. That's not too hard to fix.

Disgusting. Used to be a sushi chef and the ginger salad was soup, the tuna has turned rotten (I had to spit it immediately), the bbq rolls had so much sauce it was overwhelming, my husbands beef teriyaki was soup, and my toddler gagged on the chicken teriyaki.Don't eat here, it'll make you sick! I feel nauseous and didn't even swallow the rotten fish.

Walk up and find out you can't go inside it's all to go only and you can sit outside and eat. Cars whizzing by at 55-60 mph 20 feet from you. Sushi was ok it was medium of the road. The bee that flew around me seemed to want it more then I did kept bothering me. Someone came up wanted to go in nope and asked for a rest soon and no restroom who woulda thunk it. I don't recon I'll be going back there I like ac and bathrooms when eating and drinking.

The build your own rolls are such a great deal! The spicy soup is also delicious. We love how fast and convenient their delivery is. They always get there faster than they say they will.
