I think this place is ONLY for white people due to the powder face white woman and they don't wear glove while fixing your food .

As many of my reviewers know, I am a snowball connoisseur. I try and review a lot of snowball stands. Unfortunately, this snowball stand was below standards.Let me start at the beginning here. The ambiance is great. The decorations are appealing. There are two porch swings to sit and relax. There's also a covered picnic table in the back and a bounce toy for kids to ride on. There is a restroom available. So they got this part right. When we got to the window, it took a few minutes to get acknowledged. Finally, a lady who appeared to be the owner came over to take our order. She was friendly, but she should have had a sign on the window of she was gonna be away for a few minutes. My wife got a chocolate malt. The lady said that they had no lids. The malt wasn't mixed properly either, which resulted in a poor tasting malt. The malt powder was all at the bottom. She's had way better.I got a red snowball, I think cherry flavored. The texture of the ice, which you can see in my picture, was more shaved than finely chopped. I would expect that texture someplace up north but not here in New Orleans where good ice machines are readily available. I ended up throwing half of it away.We will not be back to this stand. The 2 stars is mainly for the appearance of the stand itself, otherwise it would be a one star review from me. Spend your money elsewhere.

I love Mr. Haney's snack shack on Jefferson highway. It has a wonderful variety of different snacks. But the best of all is there snowballs. Even the small is a good size. The flight was so delicious and they give plenty of syrup with the snowballs. The lady who runs it is very friendly. You need to give them a try. It is also easily accessible, right on Jefferson Hwy. There's plenty of places to park in front on the side and behind the shop. Also there are a couple bench seats, and a swing also. It's great when is a cool breeze out.

This snowball stand has just what you need on a hot summer day. They have delicious snowballs , nachos and ice cream oh and don't forget the hot dogs too. I really like the relaxing atmosphere with the porch swings and a play area for the kids. Can't go wrong with Mr Haney's!

This place is just ok. I asked the lady working how big the medium cup is and she responded in a rude tone, "I am so sick of people asking me that, so I am going to put the cups out." Then my wife asked if she could taste a flavor, and she came back with a cup of warm syrup. She asked if she could have it with ice, and the lady said (in a rude tone again) "it taste exactly the same. Trust me" never coming back again. The service was awful, and the snowballs weren't that great any way . If the service was better, I would come back because it's close to my home, but first impressions stick.

I love snowballs....but not these. This business has been open for a few months now and still haven't learned how to make a good snowball. My girlfriend and I have been there a few times when we didn't want to wait in RoBears long lines. First off, they don't put a top on their snowballs....the ice is even with the top of the cup and by the time the syrup is applied, it is even lower. They didn't apply enough syrup on any of the snowballs that we bought and by the time we got 1/4 of the way down, we had white ice to greet us. The last time we were there we checked before we left and when we asked for more syrup, the lady wasn't very friendly about adding some. I think we will be waiting in the heat in the long lines from now on.

My favorite snowball is Sugar free Piña colada and Mr. haney's Snack Shack has the best syrup!! Mr. Haney's is the BEST Snowball shop in Harahan, Louisiana! I definitely recommend people should come here if they want great service and an amazing snowball! They also have snacks like nachos, ice cream, pickles and more! The owner is awesome!

It was my first time here. I approached the building and browsed the menu for a while when I was told by a customer sitting on the bench that I should order at the window on the side. I approached, and a woman approached me and asked me "what do you want?", and I politely replied with a smile that it was my first time here, and I was still looking."So ya gonna get something or what?" she said brashly. I was a bit taken aback and said that I was just still looking, though internally slightly upset...I ordered a small snowball, and the texture of the ice was chunky and crunchy, too big to effectively use a straw for drinking. There wasn't much syrup in the snowball either, so there wasn't much flavor to the snowball. The flavor of the syrup itself was decent, though not great. The swinging benches were pretty, and a nice atmospheric touch, but otherwise I was quite disappointed. I felt unwelcome as a guest, especially a first-time guest. I am unlikely to return.

I passed over there on Saturday with my son after working all morning. It was the 1st time I have ever tried it ( I usually go to Ro'Bears ) they were closed so Mr. Haneys was the obvious choice. So glad I did. They put plenty of syrup on my snow ball. I got a margarita flavor which I have never heard of as a flavor for a snow ball. It was excellent my son got spearmint equally as good. Glad I gave them a shot and you should too.

If I could give this "snack shack" 0 stars I would, because its doing this establishment a disservice to even give it one. I should have known to turn around and not even bother when I called to inquire if it was open and immediately got attitude and rudeness on the other end of the line. I went against my better judgement and decided to give them the benefit of the doubt since I like trying new places. When I walked up to the snack shack the first glaring indication that this place was horrible is that there was no line. No line for a snowball in New Orleans summer heat? Bad sign. Secondly, the owner was spraying ant and bee spray on the counter where she serves snowballs to people- can we say poisoning!?! I must have had a mini stroke (or had the ant spray already taken affect?) to even continue with my order, but I did. I ordered a kiddie size, which is all of 2oz for a $1.50- talk about a rip off!! The ice in the snowball was nothing short of large ice cubes that she might as well have pounded with her fist. Gone are the days of soft fluffy ice that your spoon easily digs into. I felt like I needed a chisel and hammer to even get some on my spoon to eat. Should I discuss the flavors now? I ordered two different flavors, neither of which tasted like they should have. Combined I can only describe it as sugar water which resembled a bad UTI in color. I managed to choke down a few bites of this atrocity before I just gave up and regretted my decision. Before you decide to try this place out, even from the goodness of your heart, reread this review and convince yourself otherwise. Walk the extra two blocks down the street and spend your hard earned cash at robears instead. I've never been there but I can guarantee a better experience.
