Morton's Seafood Restaurant & Bar

This an excellent restaurant. Fills up all the time. If you like raw oysters on the half shell go on a Monday at half price The gumbo is delicious and so are the fried oysters , shrimp and catfish. Waitress Mea took care of us and we were very happy with her. Dawn (?) is the owner and makes sure that service is done properly.

I loveee the snow crab legs here! They have certain days of the week with specials where you can get 2 clusters of snow crabs for the price of one!! There's many more specials on different days too! This place is located right on the madisonville riverfront! The service here is also amazing!

Cool place. Clean and staff super friendly. We had beers and I had the Morten's rum punch which was really good. We had fried calamari and catfish nuggets. Yum!For entrees we had roast beef and shrimp po boy. The roast beef was tender roasted and shredded and they used popcorn shrimp. They do half n half there. Half roast beef and the other half shrimpI had the half catfish snd half shrimp po boy. The French baguette was good but I ended up eating the filling after a couple bites as the servings are huge!

Very friendly local bar. Barmaid/waitress (Nicole) was great. Ambiance friendly. Jan had roast beef poor boy and I had a shrimp poor boy. Both great. Shrimp was spilling off my plate so loaded. A couple of beers and then we split chocolate cake for dessert

The prices don't match the quality of the food. It's mid. Had crab legs and they weren't cleaned and they were just super bland. We also had an oyster poboy and they didn't do multiple things we requested, so that was so-so, but the oysters were good. I just don't think the prices justify the quality of the food. Even the chairs are incredibly uncomfortable. Service was great in the beginning, but once the restaurant filled up, we were forgotten about.

Being a foodie who doesn't mind driving for food, I went through my bookmarks and realized I hadn't stopped here yet. So what do you do when you have a foodie family who like to eat too? We all drive down here to try it out :). No wait even though we had a medium party and quite a few patrons inside. Server was prompt and got our drink orders and food orders in fast. Oysters- hubs loved this but only tweak is he wish they had more like bacon and cheese. Only ouch was the price on the bad boys (30ish bucks for 12)Combo seafood plate- crispy and delicious. Baked potato was great. Seafood pasta- good but I only questioned the presentation of it Crawfish- perfectly boiled and seasoned. Onion rings- according to the table get them. Drinks- strong as heck but I'm fine with that haha. Everyone enjoyed their dishes so much we all sampled off each other. Nice water view in front to enjoy after your meal too.

Love this place. A regular, multiple times a week, but big price increases on the new menu. I'm going to have to cut back my visits.

We waited for over 15 minutes for a table for 2. Had our name on the list. A girl walked in and gave her name and she and her friend for seated right away. I went to the girl with the list and complained and she says oh I forgot. I said oh you forgot? Our name is on the list . How could you forget? This is just rude so go make them move. She said she couldn't do that. I yelled and said why would you do that? We left and probably won't go back. Terrible treatment!

Cheerful, friendly spot on the Northshore. Had an absolutely awesome shrimp poboy that was overflowing with shrimp. Young male server was really friendly and on top of it.Parking was easy. It was spotlessly clean.For what it is, it's perfect.

This place has been my family's and myself go to place for over 12 years but our last recent visit was the worst experience we have had here ever we went this past Thursday February the 20th and it may have been our last time we ordered 5 seafood platters and have always been pleased with it but this time the portions were smaller than normal for the price you pay the fish had a mud taste due to the skin left on out of 5 platters no one was satisfied with it which is the first time in over 12 years I can say that my wife and daughter always go with the crab legs clusters they charge 30 something dollar's for two clusters and 70 something dollar's for four they always in the past been satisfied with it but this time they each ordered 4 clusters which were very small clusters they had the small legs on but none of them had the large claw legs those small clusters were definitely not worth $70 something dollar's for two orders of 4 clusters very small and very disappointed we spent over $400 as we always do and this time was very dissatisfied and this after all these years may be our last time this place used to be the best place on the northshore but not so sure after this experience this was the only time we were disappointed in the visit however the waitress was very nice but unfortunately the food was not
