MJ's

My head nearly exploded when I walked in here with sweets looking for an engagement gift. They have ALOT of things here. So much so that its seriously cramped in there. But they more than likely will have what you are looking for. What I noticed is the prices is very reasonable. Dare say cheap even.You need Saints stuff? They got it. Wedding , baby shower, recipe NOLA things, they got it. Plenty of souvenir gifts here yall. And they do gift wrapping too!I'M not like 5 start fired up about this store but in a way I am because now I have a place to get quick girl gifts if need be.

I'm not a gift giving expert, but I feel like one when I shop at MJ's. This is one of the better local boutique's in terms of local options for men and women. Great prices and they have a ton of high quality options that aren't readily available in other stores, even in New Orleans.Thus far, this is my favorite gift store Metairie, let alone New Orleans. Definitely give this place a shot if you're in Old Metairie!

MJ's is a secret indulgence for me. I don't usually like store's like this, but MJ's is an exception. They have so many fun items in the store, and it is geared toward the locals. You can always find a neat gift here or a little something for yourself. Even with the bigger space they are in now it's still so cramped in the store because they just have so much stuff. It's fun stuff though! They have Saints and LSU sections which is awesome! I recently went to a Saints game and happened to be in MJ's the day before and they had the clear bags you need to take into the stadium. I snatched one up knowing I was going to need it, and it was only $10. I can't even go into all the cool item's they sell here because it's just so many. I can say if you need a New Orleans themed gift or something cool for your own house definitely come look at MJ's because more often than not they will have what you're looking for.

My Mom loves this store. She loves that it's really affordable and that it's in a strip mall with a parking lot. AND that their custom wrapping job is to make a small gift item look like a traditional New Orleans snoball.There are lots of random housewares and jewelry and tshirts and stuff. It was insane the Saturday before Christmas but the staff had a system and while they were rushed, they were helpful.Definitely a place to find some random gifts for an inexpensive price.

I'm a big fan of places like this - fun New Orleans themed decor, clothes, jewelry, etc. In my mind I think of MJ's as a lower scale Fleurty Girl. They have less clothing and accessories - but more home goods and decorative items. Some of it isn't totally my style and not everything in the store is New Orleans themed, but if you look around you're bound to find something you like or would like as a gift. They have everything from flags, serving dishes, wine glasses, jewelry, soaps, shoes, decorative household items, towels - you name it. And 90% of it is decorate with New Orleans or Southern themed items. A few items I like in particular are their coasters with the names of different New Orleans high schools, their outdoor flag selection, and their assortment of serving dishes. The prices are all reasonable in my opinion, and you can dig and find some sales / steals. It takes me about 25 minutes to go through the entire store, my mom and I probably stop in 2-3 times a year just to see what they have and always find something we like.

What a cute, fun store! I could have gone broke buying everything!Great gift options, and they have gift wrap, which I love. Great selection of Mardi Gras items also, which makes me happy since I love Mardi Gras and give a lot of gifts!My only issue was that I only had my lunch hour to peruse the place, and I could have stayed longer!

I like coming here to browse and to buy gifts for people. They have so much stuff! Some is great in the price department, some can be a bit high. But overall most of their stuff is reasonable compared to places with the same type of items. You can really get lost browsing :)

Great find if you love fleur de lis anything,jewelry,candles,silverware,t shirts,handbags.,car flags.....................anything and everything fleur de lis.you can get a keyring,very nice, for about $2.00 cute little box with bow 35 cents.Earrings about 3 bucks,scarves,oh gosh! so much stuff,even a fdl air freshener to hang in your car!!and they keep getting new stuff in,worth a trip to old metairie.

This is a SUPER cute gift shop in Metairie.The sell New Orleans "centric" gifts, jewelry and home decor that is in the same vein as Fleurty Girl. I stopped in here looking for a New Orleans charm bracelet and I was excited to discover that MJ'S carries them and has plenty of really cute New Orleans charms for under $15 each. Some of my favorites included a shot gun house, Roman candy cart, K&B sign and the Rosenberg's girl. Really unique stuff that any local is sure to love.They also sell a lot of things to do with the Saints and pretty much Fleur de Lis anything. If you are looking for a cute gift, this is a fabulous place to start.
