Ming's Akari Sushi & Hibachi

This place looks as though it hadn't been clean in years. The restaurant was stink of urine. Had a visited the restroom before eating here, I would not have done so. The food was delicious I must say. Not too salty at all. The flavor was excellent. As well as the potion size. I would recommend this just don't sit in there. If you're a germaphobe like me

Stopped in to get a bite to eat. They offer a vast selection of items to choose from. Since I wasn't feeling adventurous, I kept it simple and ordered the shrimp fried rice. They charge for the shrimp and the rice as separate dishes. I wanted a little heat so asked for Wasabi sauce on the side. My food was delicious. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. The servers were very nice and my food arrived relatively fast.

The food was not that great The only thing I recommend that was decent was the fried dumplings.

I love Akari for when I'm craving a cheap and quick bite. There are a lot of options in their menu. I am addicted to the ginger sauce that they serve with the side salad, so I always have to order extra. My favorite roll is the rock n roll and it's only $7.50! While the shrimp hibachi lunch combo ($10) was pretty tasty, I didn't feel like I got my money's worth as the portion size could only get a child full. They might give a smaller portion with to-go orders, but I love the convenience of ordering my order ahead of time and then picking it up at the drive thru. If I want to save money when I'm in Laplace, then I would come to Akari instead of Kobe's. I want to try their seafood boil eventually.

This place may be easy to pass by, but it may be worth your time. Menu has good selection of hibachi, sushi, and other dishes. My coworkers and I had the chance to grab some lunch here and it was not too bad. I did like the fried shrimp bento box. It was enough fried rice and 'sushi' roll with ample amount of Fried shrimp (4 long ones). It's not your typical Japanese place where you're limit is your wallet and not your stomach space, this place will fill you up. I'm pretty picky about non-Japanese Japanese restaurants, but you can't fault the restaurant here. It's difficult to tell if you're non-Japanese, for instance; take a look at the wall photo inside the store, this is not taken in Japan. Can you tell why? It's hilarious!

Great food great customer service very clean. Very honorable people been going there since they open absolutely would encourage anyone to try this business.
