Mikimoto

When I lived in New Orleans, I visited and ordered delivery from Mikomoto regularly. It was fun to take my sushi loving daughter there for lunch when we were in town. We were seated immediately and quickly received our drink orders. We decided on our order and the food came out fast, perfect for those on a lunch break or otherwise needing a quick meal. The miso soup was as expected, and I was thrilled to have two of my old favorites on the menu - the deluxe roll and jalapeño madness. Some nigiri and a snow crab Naruto completed our meal. Everything was fresh and delicious. My only gripe was that the toro should have been trimmed better and had something chewy going on. Overall, the portions were large and prices very reasonable for the quality.

I've been going to this sushi spot for a very, very long time and I leave happy and satisfied each time. While I am sad that they don't deliver to my house anymore (unless you use an overpriced delivery service), I am very happy to go and dine in to enjoy the fresh and tasty sushi options here. The lunch specials are well priced, super fresh and always come with soup and salad. Today I had the tuna tataki salad and shared a rainbow roll and salmon box sushi with my wife who LOVES the noodle salad. Oh, we'll be back!!!

I can't believe I've never reviewed Mikimoto. I've ordered takeout from them so many times, and my orders have always been accurate and tasty.This was my first sit down visit and it was really nice.I met a friend for lunch on a chilly day and arrived first. The wait staff was on top of their game and got me squared away and settled at the table of my choice. I ordered a hot green tea and sipped while I waited.When my sweet friend arrived, I ordered a rainbow roll. Our orders were delivered shortly and my tea was refilled. All was good - food and service get a thumbs up from me!

Definitely one of the best sushi stops in New Orleans. My Yelp Bestie put me on to them some years ago and recently I have been visiting them more and more. My go to rolls are the Metairie and Philadelphia Roll with no green onions, and I like to add the eel sauce to both rolls. Every time I visit the rolls and fresh and tasty. On my most recent visit I tried the Deluxe Roll with tempura shrimp and cream cheese inside seaweed and rice with show crab, tuna, salmon, tempura batter, avocado, pink sauce and eel sauce on top DELICIOSO! It is one of their house special rolls and my new favorite. It is a large roll and very filling, enough for two servings. If I was on Mikimoto while in college, I would have been there everyday when I was on a sushi kick, definitely would not have good They have a drive thru window, for those lazy days, and now you can order and pay online! They will definitely have my business. If you are in then Gert Town area, even if you aren't, and you are in the mood for sushi, check them out. Until we meet again.

I have always loved this place. The service was quick and amazing. I ordered noodle salad, gyoza, and a yellow dragon roll. I received my meal within 5 minutes. I will always recommend this place for a quick sushi grab.

So I've been coming to Mikimoto for YEARS now and they just never miss!!! Mikimoto is hands down one of my favorite sushi spots in New Orleans. The fish is SO fresh, especially their salmon. Some of my favorite are the fresh salmon sashimi, Tiger Roll, and the fresh salmon roll, but you really can't go wrong with anything! I also love the drive-thru they have, which makes takeout orders super easy and convenient! I will always be a regular at Mikimoto so long as I live in New Orleans.

I had the Utah roll. Was scared by it looked but thoroughly enjoyed it. Fresh and flavorful.

Ordered take-out from Mikimoto while on work travel and this was a pleasant surprise. Ordered- Sashimi Platter (4/5). This was pretty good - it tasted fresh and was generous on portions. I am not used to really thick cuts of fish though so making the cuts of salmon, mackerel, etc. much thinner would make it more appealing - Steamed Gyoza (3/5). Meh - it was a little below Trader Joes. The soy sauce that came with it was a little too sweet and a regular soy sauce may have been preferred TLDR: decent sushi exists in this town - enjoy

I have dined here several times throughout the years and this sushi restaurant does not fail to delight! This week I brought a friend to lunch, I told her all about the delicious noodle salad they gave diners complimentary like the miso soup is often given at other restaurants but they no longer do that. Bummer but we enjoyed our lunch, regardless. We shared the day's special fresh Tora Roll and the Mango Madness Roll, as well as the Poke Bowl. The Poke was a little soggy but I must say, it was delicious. I believe they have more drive-through customers than they have dining in because the left side of the restaurant is a mess of to-go boxes. (Someone should curtain that off or at the very least, add shelving to make it more organized and presentable.) I will continue to visit this little gem for the very good and fresh sushi and the friendly and nice wait staff.

My famoy loves this restruant! The man at the cashier was so sweet and patient with my dumb family, and honestly I loved him! Such a hard worker! And the food was pipping hot, and really good! A lot of flavor and good for people with high spice toleranc! Ambiance was amazing! 10/10 would recommend
