Mike's Food Store

This is a neighborhood convenience store in the Bywater with food, booze and some other items you might find useful. They offer some freshly prepared food here that really is nice. I sampled the burger here and it was prepared from scratch and French fries were also freshly fried. The burger was very nice with plenty of juicy beefy goodness and it was served with nice bread. The fries seemed to have gotten a bit soggy in the Styrofoam box on the way home so they were less crisp than I would have hoped but they were still decent fries which had a nice spicy seasoning blend applied to them. Overall they offer a decent value for the price to get a really nice sized burger and fries which is far superior to the fast food joints.

I had a fish po boy and enjoyed great conversation while I waited. Sandwich was excellent and Mike and his family serve up food and service with love!

Friendly neighborhood bodega. Good prices. They know everyone by name. It's great to have someplace close with such personality.

Shit is cheap here. Like, bottle of wine is like 5 bucks cheap. Beer is cheap too, and they have ice crates filled. There are many Interesting characters do appear and if you look like a fucking idiot, you will be hustled a bit. People know you here and it's neighborhood-ish. They have spaghetti day, on Thursday or some shit. They have a menu for every day of the week. It's good if you're stoned out of your fucking mind (cause it is a little bit greasy) Yeah, I'm pretty much there any/All the time... since I'm always thirsty for juice regardless of alcoholic or not.

Big and tasty calzone. It's all I've had but was surprised how good the food was in this lil shack. Pretty good beer selection too!

we went to this spot because Garage Pizza moved to the back of the location. They mostly have beverages and wine/beer of all sorts, which is great!

Overpriced. Food is always burned. Overcharged. Late on delivery. Obnoxious owner. Just called for info and he hung up on me.
