I would've never expected a restaurant to be back in this rural area. It was a nice surprise to find it and the restaurant itself is so beautiful. The restaurant was freshly decorated for Christmas and it looked like it was out of a Hallmark movie. The staff was very accommodating for our party of nine. I liked that the tables were a large square so we could still all see each other and interact. I wish I remembered our waitress's name but she was so nice and friendly. She would have been working the lunch shift on Friday, November 29. For an appetizer, I had a half dozen of raw oysters. They brought it out with crackers, horseradish, cocktail sauce, and lemon wedges. The oysters were a very nice size and one of them was so big we nicknamed it the granddaddy oyster. There was a very nice lunch special menu with very affordable prices. I chose the sampler which came with gumbo, etoufee, fried catfish, fried shrimp, a hush puppy, and fried mushrooms. I was in seafood heaven. This lunch was a foodie's dream. I will definitely be back next time. I'm in Louisiana.

We had a very good experience and a really good waitress! My son's Cajun burger was amazing! My husband's Mike's Special was delicious. However, my grilled shrimp were not fully deveined and a little overcooked (although spiced well) and my mother-in-law's fried catfish had quite a few bones and her gumbo had pieces of shrimp shell. Everything was priced pretty well for a more upscale restaurant. 4 of us ate entrees with sides for $100, so pretty much like everywhere else. It was pretty quiet even though they were busy, and all of the staff were friendlyAlthough, there were some minor disappointments, we plan to return in the future.

I went to Mike Anderson's with a friend that I had not seen for close to 50 years. The service was good and the food was great, but I'm already spoiled by Mike Anderson's Gonzales. I would've given this location five stars, but since it used to be a different restaurant, it lacks the ambience and has no oyster bar that I saw. Overall, it was a really good experience.

I Like this location better than the Hwy 30 location. I hade lunch and eat the hot and spicy pasta primavera with the cheese sauce. It was the perfect bite and portion size plus's it was delicious. Plenty of waiting working well together. The restaurant is bright and clean. They also have an outside dining area

I've had the pleasure of dining at Mike Anderson's twice for lunch, and each visit has been delightful! The interior boasts a charming blend of modern rustic elements, creating a clean and cozy atmosphere. What's more, I was promptly seated both times without any wait.Every dish I've sampled has been exceptional, except for a couple of minor exceptions. The catfish, gumbo, and the tantalizingly spicy pasta primavera (my personal favorite) are all standout choices that I would eagerly reorder. However, I found the side salads accompanying the entrees to be a tad lackluster in flavor. Additionally, the etouffee and the bread pudding, while generally enjoyable, fell slightly short of my expectations--particularly due to the presence of raisins in the bread pudding.Overall, I highly recommend Mike Anderson's in Prarieville and can't wait to visit again!

Made reservations and walked right in on a Saturday evening -during prom night. Busy night and service was very slow but other people actually pitched in to help out. I really appreciated that. Food came out kinda sporadically. Didn't get potatoes with our steak. Oysters were just Ok. Nothing really blew me away. This is a casual kinda loud place and the refresh of the interior was nice. Prices are a little high, but it's close and I'm sure I'll be back.

The food was mediocre at best. This is not the Mike Anderson I enjoyed in Baton Rouge. The wait staff was very attentive but nothing could save the food.

Enjoyed the shrimp 7 ways platter. All the food was fresh and delicious and plentiful. Nice way to try several items. The jumbo fried shrimp were beautifully battered and fries perfectly. Probably best fried shrimp I've ever had. The price is reasonable for this quantity of food. Servers exceptionally friendly. I'd definitely return

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to Mike Anderson's and their incredible staff for hosting a wonderful Christmas party at their Prairieville location last night. My team and I had an amazing time, and I want to give special recognition to our waitress, Molly, for her outstanding service.A big thank you to Thomas and Desiree, whom I've had the pleasure of knowing for many years, for taking such great care of us and providing the delicious appetizers--they were a perfect touch to the evening. You made my company feel welcome and special, and we deeply appreciate everything you do for the community. The food was phenomenal, and the entire evening was a memorable experience. Thank you again for making it so special!
