I'm not understanding such high reviews. I will start off with what was good- the lumpia and sushi rice (the biggest indicator that they should know sushi). However, I eat sushi at least once a week and I know how to have a range of expectations. I had chirachi and the fish was not fresh, some pieces fishier than usual and made me second guess if I should eat it. I also try every sushi place's spicy tuna roll as another main judging point- it was super bright pink (felt like the grocery store dyed tuna). It was ok but not crave-able. But my kids got the yaki soba and it had a bbq flavor, not anywhere near the usual flavor. wasn't into it and sadly didn't take the leftovers from it. My husband ate all his tokatsu ramen but it overall no where near the basic ramen in the city- was water and broth should've been richer. For all that it was $77 so I don't think it was affordable for what we got. I can get at least two more dishes for that price at asuka.The staff was super nice and kind to my kids. I really wanted to like this more. Confused at the super high rating.

Happened by Midori by Carrollton & Oak a few days after it opened. On our brief visit we noted there were about eight tables and were easily seated. For starters we enjoyed Thai teas, the Zucchini fritter appetizer and fried Calamari. For entrees we devoured the Carrollton Roll along with a slow cooked spicy chicken entree we never had before that was refreshingly new. Their menu also has a varied selection of hibachi and ramen that we plan to try on our next visit.

Small, clean restaurant with outdoor seating looking over Carrollton. I had lumpia, which was my first experience with this dish. It was delicious, with beef and veggies, lightly fried. I also had the chirashi sushi. I look forward to having some more of the Indonesian dishes when I return. The highlight was the chef and hostess/waitress; both were super friendly, accommodating, and provided great service. Locals and college students should show a little love to this affordable, tasty, and convenient restaurant!

Went there on a Tuesday evening, very quiet. Very clean inside and outside. Servers were very attentive. No alcohol is served here. Variety of sodas as well as iced tea and lemonade. Sushi was very fresh as were the rolls. We tried the specialty rolls which ended up being very yummy. Three people three rolls was plenty. fast, efficient, attentive service.

I just tried Midori, which is in my neighborhood but didn't realize what a great little Japanese/Indonesian restaurant was around the corner. I had a sashimi plate. It was delicious and a house salad, which was also delicious. Looking forward to going back and trying some in Indonesian Dishes.
