Was scammed!!! Was told shrimp was 16/20. Bought 25# for $3.50 and got maybe 60/70. Was shown 16/20 in ice chest but they boxed it up in the back and brought it to my car. I will never go back there.

Since my last review in 2013, this has been by go to for fresh shrimp and occasionally crabmeat for several years. The prices are good. The seafood is fresh.The place is the no frills type of seafood mart I grew up with so don't expect anything fancy. They have freezers inside where you can buy fish and other items.If you're buying the shrimp, you pay inside and then show the guy outside your receipt and bags your shrimp from an ice chest.The parking lot gets chaotic during busy times since there are no stripes and it's every vehicle deciding what's logical.

Michael's Seafood is a seafood store with the fresh catch of the day. Always fresh shrimp and fish whatever is in season delicious crawfish. Lots of frozen specialties to be able to take home. It reminds me of the old St. Rock Market on St. Claude St. about 50 years ago.

I'm that girl that's all about pinching heads & sucking tails... All things CRAWFISH!!!! And Michael's fits the bill.The price is right. The taste is GREAT. The location is good. Friendly staff. And they ANSWER THE PHONE when you call. Winnnnning!!!!! Initially, I stopped in for shrimp some time ago, but then as of late, I've returned for Crawfish & I've not been disappointed yet. 10lbs or more and you have a discounted price on the mud bugs. I noticed other items in the freezer & I've stored this in the recesses of my mind, but my recent visits have been ALL about the CRAWFISH. This is one of my "go to" places for Crawfish & I couldn't be happier. Don't be surprised if you see me here when you come, you've been warned.

I bought me some crawfish for $3.99 lb and 7 lbs of raw shrimp for $3.99 lb...THE CRAWFISH WAS GOOD !!! It wasn't spicy at all. They also take EBT.

Boiled crawfish is not great but good enough when options are limited. Usually hot and the sizes are good, not super flavorful but not the worse either. Friendly service, parking is limited though. My biggest complaint is--you pay for 10lbs of booked crawfish but in reality, you're getting about 8, because the rest is trash...lemon peels, celery, etc. And I've mentioned it nicely, but it doesn't help. No other seafood place does this. I think it's a bit of a scam, on their part done purposely. Stretching that boil.

This is my 3rd time here, and man I'm telling you these folks have some of the best tasting Crawfish in this city. I should also mention they are cheaper by as much as a dollar a pound. Crawfish are plentiful right now and most places are charging over $4.00 a pound. That is Highway robbery for Crawfish. There in one place on Chef Hwy. charging over $5.00 a pound. That is absolutly crazy. But I digress, Michael's is the real deal. If I'm willing to drive from the other side of town 10 pounds minimum is in order. When I got them home they went like wild fire. I was left wondering why I didn't get more. $3.24 was the price today which is reasonable compared to the others. Top of my list now.

Michaels Seafood located in Jefferson, LAOrdered 40 lbs last Saturday for a crawfish boil party. Got Michael's to boil them for us. They were DELICIOUS. Medium to large size, easy to peel and the seasoning was perfect. Great job. Purchased corn and potatoes to go along with them. Everything was perfect.

Flavor is great. Communication needs to be better I placed an order this morning. Indicating I would need hot crabs and shrimp. For dinner tonight. And unfortunately, was met with crabs out of a cooler.. To be fair, the young lady at the counter did not get the message to her from the lady that took the order I was still able to go elsewhere and get what I needed

Fast service and fresh seafood.! Very convenient and now under new management thank God!
