Very professional and thorough Veterinary Clinic. My Cavalier was hospitalized there and they provided excellent care. Communication is somewhat difficult and follow up labs and records are very difficult to obtain for insurance etc but the care is excellent. They have a nice stock of food and supplies as well.

I have one very lazy, long haired cat! Bill does an excellent job grooming him. Twice now I was certain he was coming home shaved. But nope, Bill got him cleaned up and untangled. Thank you from Presley and me!!

I have mixed feelings about giving this review, since everyone here is always very nice. I have gone in for a couple of semi-emergency visits when my pup was young, and both of those visits were very nice and I was grateful that I could get my pup in. But, my waits are always pretty long - which my dog actually loves because he's such a social dog. You wait to see the doctor, then you wait to pay the bill. Again, my dog loves this, but it's just odd to have waits on both ends of these scheduled appointments (we set a time for a reason, right?).On my first scheduled visit, the doctor - one of the more established doctors - didn't seem particularly interested in actually examining my dog, but I've gone back, simply requesting a different doctor.Since then, I've probably been 5 times, and I've seen 4 different doctors, all of whom were very nice. But they all seem brand new and very young. The age truly doesn't bother me, but it does make me wonder why they seem to have a turnover of young doctors....are they hiring based on pay? On my last visit, I saw yet another doctor who was very nice, and new enough to not be listed on their website. And honestly, I'm not sure what was accomplished in this annual exam. We got my pup's weight. Heart and lungs were listened to. Teeth were looked at, and at my request, the ears. But otherwise, I'm not sure I'd call it a "physical examination". In fact, they seemed short-staffed and the doctor had to "go see if I can find someone" to help manage my large dog to check his heart and lungs. I certainly don't feel like my dog and I have a relationship with a doctor that would grow as my pup ages. Each visit feels brand new. So my next visit will be brand new - someplace else. Last comment: I don't hate this place. But I've always been able to have some sort of relationship with my pets' doctors - someone who knows them and can recognize changes. So that's what I intend to find. If I need a "clinic", MSAH is convenient.

This is the place to bring your love ones but beware.. You may get a call telling you that they had a sudden heart attack and died 20min later while your driving home Insensitive and irresponsible

The entire staff at Metairie Small Animal Hospital has always taken such great care of our fur babies. They have been there for us through puppy visits, torn ACLs, epilepsy diagnosis and wellness visits.There is no one else that we would trust with our fur babies care!

I have had such positive experiences at MSAH since I've started using them for my babies! While my cats aren't typically thrilled to leave the house, the doctors and support staff always make sure they are as comfortable as they can be while they get taken care of! Would definitely recommend!!

No, never again... I am left grieving beyond words, and will spare all the details.. All I will say is my dog went in for a UTI and is gone. Gone forever!!.. To make matters worse they did not know where his body was after the untimely death of this 6 yr old baby. After no call for 2 days as to his remains, we called them. The Admin of the hospital kept insisting he was still at the hospital, while the Crematory called us, to say us he was there.. On top of all the horrific agony I have been going through, these people didn't even know he was taken from the hospital, or where his body actually was.. Never in a million years would I entrust them with my dog and never would I leave a dog there over night.. Never!! This beautiful little boy is gone forever due to neglect, nothing more.I will add to this.. I got a call 8 days later with them trying to cover up the fact my dog was never given his inhaler after his walk which I had stressed over and over to them, that must be done. To make matters worse I just got a call that was a full blown lie, saying they found him dead after they took another dog out for a walk 3 hours later. It was a lie.. The numbers from this hospital were on my phone.. First call was to say my dog was doing wonderful, improving and just went for a walk, 30 min later they called to say he was dead and they didn't know how.. REALLY!!! . I am livid over the lies and deception, making the pain much worse. They KNOW, and I know, exactly what happened.DO NOT RISK LEAVING YOUR DOGS OVER NIGHT HERE. DO NOT! ..They do not have qualified people to truly watch over your dogs. Young vet techs will not cut it. they do not understand the blood, sweat, and tears some dogs go through in life only to be neglected and die at the hands of inexperienced, young people.

This clinic really came through and helped us on a weekend when my dog rapidly declined and needed to be put to sleep. They made the process so comfortable and respectful for both my pet and family. My 15 year old dog didn't get put down in a cold sterile room but had a warm living room like setting that was calm and he was comfortable. We could all say goodbye and he had no pain or discomfort. I really appreciate this clinic today and the comfort they were able to provide for us especially with us just walking in. Everyone was so kind. Thank you.

My Beagle was treated by Dr. Morgan Domangue. She did a wonderful job. Thorough and personable. She also was compassionate and gentle with my beloved Beagle. I highly recommend Dr. Morgan.

They helped me and my little dog on a Sunday evening. They are always caring, smart, and experienced. I love these people!
