We had a lovely meal at Megumi 21 Sushi Restaurant. The dishes we ordered--Tonkotsu Ramen, Tuna Tataki, and an Eel Bowl--were delicious and well-prepared.The Tonkotsu Ramen was excellent. The noodles had a good texture, and the broth was rich, creamy, and full of porky flavor. The chashu (pork belly) was generously sized, adding a hearty element to the dish.The Tuna Tataki was a standout, with its freshness and high-quality cut of tuna. The ponzu sauce paired beautifully with the dish, offering a delightful aroma and tangy taste.The Eel Bowl was another highlight, especially the rice, which had a perfect balance of sweetness, saltiness, and a slight tartness from the vinegar. While the eel was delicious and thickly cut, the portion size felt a bit small.Overall, the flavors and quality of the food were impressive. A bit more generous portions on some dishes would make it perfect.

I come here any time I am celebrating a closing as a Realtor! Sitting outside is my favorite and although it's right next to passing traffic, somehow it's still very pleasant the food is always top notch and the waitstaff is always very attentive and friendly. They always play nice music on the patio too. My favorite roll is the Angry Salmon roll. It comes with this garlic chili sauce that is to die for! You can always order it on the side too to put on any other roll (great on a Philadelphia roll too).

Everything was ok( except they use frozen veggies) until the lady next to us recieved her plate and a ROACH came from the plate. That's bad enough itself... but the waitress made the people PAY for the food!!! She went to speak to the kid manager there and he's response was "they can change tables" WHAT!? SOOOOOOO gross. Will never eat at this place again. Calling the board of health on Monday, maybe they will care then.

For a relatively new restaurant, the women's bathroom had an unpleasant smell. The walls in our booth had splashes of something white all around the window. I ordered an Erica bowl which is what I usually order at all sushi restaurants. It was mostly rice, some snow crab and a few slithers of tuna. The eel sauce was barely drizzled on the bowl which without the sauce, everything was bland. There also was no avacado. My husband got the chicken teriyaki dinner with the California roll and vegetables. The California roll was mostly rice. The chicken chicken teriyaki was dry and the teriyaki sauce that was in the vegetable was very water down.We have always enjoyed the Megumi in Mandevile, but we will not be returning to this location. There are too many other choices of sushi restaurants.

I want to like megumi because of fond memories when they 1st opened on hwy 22, but i just cannot. It's basically fast food sushi. Too much rice, bad slices of fish, especially when ordering take out. Most people don't want the blood line in a huge chunk of fish. The one thing that I thought they could not mess up was the ocean salad, but they did. One piece of octopus and fat chunks of poorly cut fish. I will be traveling to the Southshore from now on where we have some excellent sushi restaurants
