Martine's Lounge

You can smoke inside and they make great cocktails, the beer is nice and cold, and the bartenders are wonderful.....what else can a guy want?!! I live in Orleans parish and am happy to make the trip to hang in such a cozy place.

Martine's is a fun little cocktail dive bar in Old Metairie.Products: Duh-ranks, yo! They have a pretty good wine and beer selection, but they shine on their signature cocktails, of which there are so many that I could not reasonably list here, some of which rotate out regularly to keep variety up. Everything, and I mean *everything*, is reasonably priced, if not outright cheap. (5 stars)Service: Usually just a single bartender, except during shift changes, but the place is small enough, that is more than enough. All the 'tenders are friendly and efficient. (5 stars)Facilities: Martine's is located in a strip mall along Metairie Road. It's easily accessible from the Bonnebel exit off I-10. Signage is ample, but you have to be familiar with the turns along the street to be prepared to find it. There is some parking out front, and, as one goes to bars mainly at night, there isn't any competition for space then.There is a pool table, video poker, and what looks to be a non-functioning/unplugged pinball machine (never asked about it).The inside is smallish, and can probably hold about 50 people seated, including tables and bar stools. There is also outside seating available. It's clean, but, for whatever reason, the cigarette smoke lingers in the place. The management is aware and tries to work with customers on this angle.The decor is appropriate, with a saloon feel to it. My boyfriend and I have tried to go to this place no fewer than three times and had to leave each time due to the heavy presence of smoke inside the bar. We are from Houston so we are not familiar with the local ordinances, but clearly it must be legal to smoke in bars in Metairie.Since we never stayed long enough to order a drink, I can only speculate on whether this is a food cocktail bar or not.We'll never find out unless the local laws change, because we won't return until it's non-smoking.

Gotta love this place. As JPSO was chasing me (because my boss "needed to meet right away") These keystone cops ‍ pulled me over and I was in such a hurry I locked my keys, phone, wallet in my car. They were upset that they could not "tear my vehicle apart..."lol! Things happen, lightning does strike twice. I locked my key in the car 2x in one night. Like the said when I asked "I just got $1000 in fines, can you give me a ride to ARIS AVE?" His barked his reply "NO! We AINT A F'in taxi service....". The cops were in such a hurry to leave, they smashed into each other. "I ain't writing that report". Lol!" . Watching the "butterfly effect" unfold for a few thousand was the best entertainment I've had in years!!!!! Thank GOD for this "angel" in the form of "Michelle" the bartender!!! She let me use the phone unlimited as if I was JESUS seeking refuge.The way I look at it is- "GOD brought me to this place for a reason, blisters on feet and all!!!!!"

Really nice neighborhood bar. I'd give it 5 stars but it was smoky. Loved the watermelon drink. The service was fantastic. Very friendly workers and customers are down to the earth and friendly as well. There were a few 30 somethings and a few 50 somethings. Mostly young ppl though. Juke box was awesome and since we didn't like the smoke, we sat outside and the outside speakers carried out the tunes to us. They also have pool tables and darts . This place has just about everything.

So there is no longer food aside from a few tasty bar snacks but now they have Trivia Night! They've also really stepped up the game for seasonal cocktails. Still my favorite place to get a drink.

This is the closest I've ever come to wishing that I lived in Metairie. A friend and I came in because we'd won a gift certificate. I'd never been anywhere on Old Metairie Rd. for drinks, mostly because it's quite a drive home for me. By all means, this was one of those times that a random gift card win brought me somewhere so, so surprisingly awesome.Martine's has a fun cocktail list (I had the Buffalo Stampede Cider) including a drink with ice cream and bacon! In fact, bacon comes in all kinds of drinks at Martine's, including the fantastic, spicy bloody mary that I ordered. Just before we left some free hot dogs made an appearance. Happy hour runs from 11-7, including $4 mimosas and bloody mary's. Great, relaxed atmosphere, everyone knew everyone happy to welcome a couple new comers. I felt like I lived around the corner by the time we left!I also want to give a shout out to the bartender who was friendly and made a mean drink. If you find yourself in the area, Martine's is a great spot to stop in!

Brittany is the best bar tender at this places she hooks up the matcha vanilla stoli like no one else. BRITTANY IS THE BEST SO IS MARTINE'S LOUNGE

Justin made me a carefully prepared Sazerac. Nobody cared that I had my dog which was nice as well. Nice chill place!

Came here and was waiting outside until they opened and it was cold so my brother and I tried to turn on the heater after the workers saw we were sitting outside and the lady came outside and rudely told us "don't f**k with that because if you break it I'm going to be f*****g pissed" She could've just said to hold on a minute and she'll come get it for us. Just thought that wasn't right at all to come at us like that for no reason. This place doesn't even deserve a star
