Drove over to French Settlement to try this gem I have been hearing about. Didn't have too long of a wait which is great. I got the steak special and hubs for the Cajun trio. The steak special is worth it. You get a huge steak with choice of potato and a salad for under 25 bucks. Hubs said the etouffee was delicious and he really liked the gumbo and crawfish pie. You won't leave hungry and if you might have a to go box. The portions are huge and the prices are reasonable.

Was not expecting this place and it's amazing food! The friendly neighbor by the Airbnb recommended we pop in here and that the seafood was top notch. Sure was and the gator was perfection! I split a mixed plate w the pals and had shrimp, gumbo and the best crab gratin- I wish I could have taken home a quart of that!! Prices were very reasonable and the staff was friendly. I seriously loved this area of Louisiana

I don't even know where to begin...this place is awesome! The fried catfish, the stuffed mushrooms, the filet steak bites! Wow! The service is always great. The ambience is casual and family friendly.

Fun, delicious, and so flavorful! All the dishes we ordered were thoroughly enjoyed. Service was nice and food came out quick. If I lived in the area, would definitely become a regular. The address on yelp, though Apple Maps, took me to a residential house, not the restaurant. Looked it up and just simply needed to switch Hwy 17 to LA-16.

The most wonderful people in the world. They have the traditional Amite River recipes. Maurepas, French Settlement and Port Vincent are represented in the traditions of our ancestors. Go here. Go here now. You won't be disappointed. It's not that far away.
