There are 7 Mexican restaurants within 2.5 miles of my house in the Denham Springs area. But this hidden gem is my favorite! The service is great. I love how the chips are served warm. The salsa is very flavorful with a hint of heat. I've had the enchiladas, and the chile relleno. Do yourself a favor and stop in!

We went here recently for the first time. We've past by more times than we can remember, but it will not be the last time we stop by for dinner.They brought us the complimentary chips and salsa and drinks. I was very pleasantly surprised at how good the chips were. They are homemade, warm, lightly salted and very thin. My favorite kind! The salsa was also very good. That was a good sign.There was a shift change issue, so they were delayed taking our meal order, so they offered us a free appetizer. Awesome! They brought us the queso, while we waited for our meal. I got the tamales plate and my husband got a combination meal. All was good and tasty and the prices are very reasonable.Don't pass this one by, stop and give them a try! (hey...that rhymes...lol)

Sooooo we were out looking for something to eat, we have passed by here thousands of times and Julie says let's try it. It's a little restaurant and we got a booth in what must have been a closet once. Service was excellent!! She had our drinks full and chips and salsa on the table the whole time we were there!! Julie had a taco and a chicken enchilada I had the street tacos with charro beans and rice. The steak in my tacos had like parmesan cheese on them, maybe, it was different than I'm used to but it was really really good. Rice was ok, the beans are delicious and the portions were big. The place is clean and the food is fresh. It's a Tex-Mex place so they want to put chili con carne on your enchiladas I have to pass on that. It was fun. Waitress got our orders perfect and she was a gas!! Y'all come in and enjoy this food!!!

Stop in for our regular friday night favorite restaurant. I tried the burrito cali style. So good. Cali style has guac and pico on the burrito. Love love this place. The margarita's are really good also.

I have always loved going to Maria's, it is that go to Mexican restaurant. The service is always great and the food is good, not the best but, good. I would describe it as your typical Tex-Mex. This restaurant has stood the test of time and I enjoy going back every now and then to satisfy that craving.

food wasn't horrible. service is usually good except for when arnulfo is our waiter. he took my change and brought cards back without my change. it took 30 minutes for a refill when the place was not busy. he kept disappearing when we needed him and would come back after 30 minutes. every other waiter is great besides him

Horrible!First off , the restaurant had a bad smell to it when we walked in. My server was not good. She kept forgetting what we ordered and then had to come back to our table to ask again. The food was not good. The chicken tasted like it came out of a can. We had to ask for refills on our drinks, had to get another server to ask for our server. I ordered two for one margs and she forgot I ordered them. So I ended up getting them to go. Our server only came to our table twice. She never checked on us or anything. But the other server was amazing. She was running that place. I always tip. But I didn't this time.
