I was looking for costume inspiration and had a few minutes so I buzzed into this shop. It has some standard beads and plastic stuff that gets thrown from carnival floats, but it also had tchotchkes, clothes, boas, masks, dried out alligator heads...You get the idea. Basically any stuff made in southeast Asia. The prices on some items seemed a little higher than other stores, but if you're looking for some different items it might be worth a pass by.

This place is fantastic for any Mardi Gras throws and supplies that you may need.A friend of mine was riding in a few parades this year, so we went to check this place out in order to get huge bags of beads and throws to whip at people at parades. Once you get over the heavy plastic smell that hangs in the air, this place is actually really neat.Aside from throws, they do sell Mardi Gras decorations, as well as a few costume accessories. While I wouldn't go so far as to call this a costume store, if you are looking for one of those Mardi Gras foil wigs that people like to wear, this is the place to pick that up.

My advice is get here as soon as Mardi Gras season begins or earlier for a better selection. They weren't as cheap as they bragged about especially for the quality on what was for sale but its worth peaking your head in for a looksy.

This is the closest place to me for wholesale beads. We stopped by hoping to add to the Girly's Mardi Gras outfit. The selection seems to be about the same as anywhere else, but with a slightly higher markup. The staff was ok but all in all, not a place I would go out of my way to visit.

Well, there's Jefferson Variety - a costumers paradise, and then there's Mardi Gras Wholesalers - a float riders nirvana. Every imaginable throw - from beads to plush animals to footballs to trinkets is available here - along with a wide selection of Venetian style Carnival masks as well the usual feather masks as well. Boas galore, decorations up the wazoo. Ya know, that big sign as you're driving past Gretna that says "Mardi Gras Wholesale"? Stop in sometime (especially during Carnival season) and stock up on lots of fun stuff for the season!

Very great customer service and prices are pretty competitive against the other Mardi Gras stores I've been to. They also offer different products that make them stand out from other stores. I'd recommend this place for your throws and or souvenirs!
