Mandez's Seafood Bar & Grill - Youngsville

We went for beer, lunch, ballgame. I had the "lump crab cakes" There were NO lumps in sight. They were very thin like less than a half in thick. Don't recommend them. Canebreak draft was good if course. We ordered chips and Salsa. Surprised when the chips were fried Potato chips. Everyone at the table enjoyed them. Others had PoBoys and were happy with them. They looked good. Overall a good experience.

Excellent food! Everything we had was wonderful. Great location, clean restaurant, good parking, awesome service. We were so excited to come try this place out and omg so glad we did! Can't wait to come back with the family!

I have been wanting to come to Mendez's ever since I tried their duck empanadas at Festival International. They did not disappoint! My daughter and I decided to dine there last night. We had a wonderful experience! Our Waitress Lucia was outstanding! She was so sweet! The manager checked in on us and other tables throughout the dinner which I absolutely loved. Even one of the employees picking up our empty plates asked us how our meal was and thanked us for dining with them. I would go there just for the staff to be honest. They are truly phenomenal. On to the food! AMAZING!!!!! My daughter and I were raving about the food. We ordered duck quesadillas and queso and chips as appetizers. The quesadillas were so delicious. The duck was confide and full of flavor. The homemade chips were addicting. My daughter said the queso is great but I can't stop eating these chips. lol I decided to try their spicy margarita and I was hoping it would be spicy. IT WAS!!! The margarita has a smooth flavor with a kick. The spice level was on point. They had a seasoned ring around the edge which sealed the deal for me. For our main dishes, I got the Pesto Shrimp Panini and my daughter got the overstuffed fried shrimp poboy. I highly recommend these. The panini was perfect!!! The thick spiral cut home fries were so delicious. There was so much shrimp on the poboy my daughter was eating them as they fell onto the plate. She had the biggest smile on her face. That is all a mom could ask for!If you are ever in the Youngsville area, I definitely recommend dining at Mendez's bar and grill. Great atmosphere, friendly and welcoming staff, as well as amazing food.

We have been waiting for the Youngsville location to open, and was not disappointed. The service was great, our server Katherine was very attentive and helpful. I also really like the ambiance, and the family feel. The appetizer kung du tuna stack was an excellent start, the sauce brought this together nicely. The fish tacos were very well seasoned, and the sweet potato fries went perfectly. As for the chicken burger the meat to bun ratio was good, and the flavor was great, the fries are different but ok, I'm more of a shoestring fries type, but the eggplant fries were amazing. Awesome addition to the Youngsville area, will definitely recommend.

The food is legit, the service has never let us down and the owners are present, attentive and make for an even greater experience.

Local customer. This is about my 4th visit. I have been previously satisfied with service and food. This visit, I was starving. I wanted it fast and good. I ordered a burger with fries without much thought. My burger was great. I swear I think the patty was hand formed (confirmed by staff). Hardly anyone does that anymore. Great bun! I asked them to put a fried egg on top and it was perfectly cooked. Yolk dripping out of the bottom. Shout out to all my egg heads!Just to top it all off my fries were hot, crispy, and evenly cooked. Definitely worth checking out. I will be back for sure.

Both locations are great and food is always fresh and inviting atmosphere. The staff is very nice and their social media is helpful always posting specials and it makes me want to go more!

Great food and great service!! I could have ordered everything on the menu. Here's what was ordered: Queso and chips - my new favorite place for chips and quesoCrab cake (appetizer) it's crab and more crab! 1885 burger - nice handmade burgerKids quesadilla - no complaints from the my daughterBeignet fries - so good! And we weren't covered in powder sugar, so that was a bonusI will definitely be back to try more items on the menu.

the service is a 5/10Sunday Brunch is AWFUL! and extremely overpriced. whole menu is overpriced, have been told that they lie about what kind of fish they serve. Overall wouldn't recommend, plenty of other nice establishments in the youngsville area.

My wife and I have been wanting to visit this Mandez location since they opened. We have been to the original location several times. They did not disappoint, food was excellent and the service was great.
