One of my very favorite meals in New Orleans- we sat at the bar and had lovely, attentive service with great suggestions that added to our experiencePoussin a la florentine was one of the best fish dishes I've had- I'm so picky about my fish so I had doubts but this is unique and overwhelmingly specialAsk for suggestions and you won't be disappointed!

The food was really good but of course, massively expensive. My question - why would you paint the interior of your NOLA french restaurant white? Just very stark and not very romantic feeling.

This restaurant is very good, but I had the highest of expectations based on so many 5-star reviews and my friends and I were a big underwhelmed by the food. My group made reservations two months ago for 6pm on a Saturday night for 5 people. The restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived, but filled up quickly and stayed filled. Most tables are for 2 or 4 people. The space at the bar is especially welcoming. Benches were very comfortable. We left around 9pm. The noise level got very very loud at 8pm (we may have been the loudest group) and it was very hard to have a table conversation at that hour. Cocktails were the most inventive and flavorful, and I'd definitely go back for a drink. YES- Pretzel bread - good for 2 people, served warm.- Cote de Boeuf, it takes about an hour to cook. Comes in multiple ounces. I think 32 ounces was $180 with truffles. The steak was perfection, but the slices of our truffle shaved overtop was dry and tasteless. Staff present the steak whole, then bring it back to the kitchen to slice it, then return it to the table with a beautiful gravy that also was perfection. Pommes Puree (mashed potatoes) so light and fluffy, probably the best I've ever had. - Poisson a la Flourentine - Red Fish served with a beurre blanc sauce and caviar. The fish flavor is light and the texture is meaty and flaky. NO-Moules Provençale Farcie - fennel sausage wrapped around a mussel, baked in a 1/2 shell over a bed of cheese. 4 servings. I only tasted sausage. Texture was weird and it was hard to separate. - Waffle/squash/bree special - Interesting, tasty, a bit dry, could use a sauce. - Pork Blade Loin - Two slices. Flavor was great, but not interesting.

Une experience incroyable. The interior design is fun, tasteful and beautiful. The wait staff is brilliant. The cocktails are delicious and creative. The garlic soup is a flavor explosion. That was my favorite. The quail is well prepared on a bed of pickled cabbage and lentils. The celery hearts and beef tongue are perfect amuse bouche. The fish can't be beat. Come for a beautiful, romantic, whimsical and haute cuisine experience.

Loved it here! A nice intimate restaurant which is definitely off the beaten path of the more touristy parts. When I walked in, I mentioned to the host that I was cold. The woman immediately walked over with a gold shawl to place over my arms. That is the sweetest thing someone has ever done for me in a restaurant! We ordered a delicious bottle of wine out of their fabulous selection, and they even let it decant for us before serving! For appetizers, you must get their bread service. The pretzel bread was to die for. The celery hearts were also a stand out. As a meal I got the shrimp risotto. If I wasn't so full from the apps I would've devoured this dish. This place belongs on your "must-dos" for NOLA. Really nice change of pace, exceptional food, and overly kind staff.

MaMou is the culinary version of that effortlessly stylish friend who looks amazing in anything and always has great stories. The whole place vibes like a French café crashed into a New Orleans speakeasy. MaMou is where flavor meets swagger, and trust me, you'll leave bragging you were there.

Reservation was easy to make through Resy. Very cute brasserie . Every dishes we ordered were so tasty and nice presentation . We wanted to come back next day but it was a quick trip to NOLA from LA. Didn't have enough time :(I forgot our server's name but service was also great ! Highly recommend!

Wow wow wow!!! This place was amazing!! New Orleans has been on my bucket list my entire life so we were doing it up right! The atmosphere was very intimate. The service was impeccable! We were fortunate to get the same server at the end of our trip as well! We started off with Beef Tartar. I then got Cavier and Champagne as I had never tried Cavier before. For our entrees we chose the pork loin and Halibut. The Halibut was absolutely AMAZING! So creamy! One thing that was not exaggerated! The food is delicious! If you want a romantic dinner with delicious food and incredible service you definitely need to come here!!

A very nice trendy spot with great food! I would recommend a res because it's not that big and it's fill up. The servers were beyond friendly from the moment you entered to when you left. We enjoyed both of our drinks as the cocktail menu isn't your typical cocktail menu. We tried a few different things and our favorites were the gulf fish and beef tarte. We tried the special of the night and it was very bland and didn't enjoy it so I stay just stick it the menu and you'll have an amazing time. Also the food came out really fast so I would keep that in mind on how many dishes you are getting bc we felt very rushed trying to eat everything. Overall if you're in Nola I recommend checking this place out!

This is definitely not one of the 50 best restaurants in the country. It would not be one of the 50 best restaurants in NYC or LA or SF and imo is not even top 15-20 in NoLa. Middling food at exorbitant prices. But we all know the NYT is fake news so what do I expect. Glad to check it off the list. Won't be going back.
