Mama's Seafood & Grill

If you're not eating at Mama's Seafood, simply put, you're missing out. This unassuming strip mall restaurant is off the hook, literally. The owner works the front of the house, constantly calling back orders to the kitchen staff. And when I tel you it's busy, it IS busy. Busy because the food is outstanding. First time diner at this place all the way from Las Vegas Nevada. I read the reviews and decided I had to go. The prices are ridiculously cheap for what you get. I ordered a shrimp po boy, fries and a shrimp spring roll. The order came out fast and hot. And I mean piping hot! The po boy had so much shrimp on it, I thought I was eating a rich boy instead. The flavors were outstanding, the ingredients fresh, and the portion size was fantastic. The French fries were hot and fresh and had great flavor as well.The owner asks me if I've ever had a turkey neck, I responded "no." Next thing I know, he's got a giant turkey neck on my table. And it too was hot and delicious. There was easily 20 people who came in while I was there for takeout orders. This place is a must try if you live in the area or if you are traveling in the area. You simply must try Mama's seafood.

I did a local search for a Seafood restaurant and Mama's Seafood & Grill popped up. I was happy with the food and service. This apparently a family owned business. It has a couple of tables and predominantly takeout food orders. The kept ringing which tells me that the locals enjoy the food. If you are in town or just in the area, you will find some honestly good food at Mama's.

I went for the first time and had the Mama Burger. For the price it was excellent. Cooked to order so the meat was hot and the lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, and condiments were cold. With a sweet tea was $6. I had a conversation with the owner and he could not have been any nicer. I will definitely go back and try his fried seafood. No ambiance but a good meal for an unbelievable good price.

This small place has great po'boys at good prices. The only place I could find Oyster po'boy and hot sausage po'boy. Thank you.

I moved here to Gulfport from North Carolina about 3 years ago. Which is when I first tried this spot. It hits every time. I always bring my family to this spot when they visit. I highly recommend!

The food was delicious and plentiful. Definitely off the beaten path but we'll worth the detour. There is a reason for the great reviews which sent us here in the first place.

First place I found in Mississippi that reminded me of home. I ordered the chicken wings and shrimp fried rice. First of all I drove 20 mins to get there and when I got back to my room the food was still hot!!! The wings were crispy and the shrimp fried was really delicious.

Stopped here on our way to LA. This is about 3 miles off the interstate and worth the stop. It's in a little strip mall area.The inside has the red tables to sit at so it's not super big. Many customers ordered to go but we wereTraveling so we dined inside. There is a menu on the wall to order from.We were greeted and at some point interacted with most or all of the staff. They were all super friendly and nice.The prices are great and the food bountiful.The kids got whole chicken wings and side of okra. The portion of okra was huge. Hubs got grilled shrimp po boy and I got fried shrimp po boy.Both types of shrimp were cooked perfectly. The amount of shrimp was great. I would even saythat the amount of fried shrimp was a tad too much. We split an order of hush puppies (6).We were not able to eat everything that we ordered.Great stop.Food made when ordered. Friendly staff. Good pricing.We will be back

Eat there once or twice a week. Food is always hot and delicious. Lots of variety and never had a bad meal.
