Too many 5 star reviews for me to keep silent. Took my mom and dad here two years ago for mine and her birthday. First, texting for reservations? Neither of my parents have smartphones. Secondly, cash only? I realize that credit card companies and/or banks charge a fee, but give me a choice and I'll pay it. Don't know what her day had been like, but we were not greeted warmly by the hostess. Nor was she pleasant for the rest of the evening. When trying to decide on an entree and asking her recommendation, we were told "everything is good." Not the question. The food was good - only good. I had two cocktails and we shared a dessert. With tip (not sure why daddy even bothered), it was almost $200.

Dined in Friday 7-29-2022. The atmosphere and service was excellent. The food was fabulous. Starting with the mouth watering bread, had a crab based soup appetizer that was excellent. Salad and dressing was so good. I had the lamb which was the best I have eaten in years. Perfect. Wife had a spicy shrimp cream sauce dish on angel hair pasta. She cleaned the plate. The deserts were perfect and the wine was . They only have one seating so you take your time and enjoy your exI can't wait to return. No credit cards. Cash or check.

Quaint, intimate and upscale is what I expected from this (the only?) French restaurant in Baton Rouge. It's upscale for sure, but when I went it was anything but quaint and intimate. We were seated next to a very large party and they were quite rowdy, loud and obnoxious. I was so unimpressed with what should have been a romantic dinner that it truly soured the experience for me. I've waited to write this review for a while because of it. They seemed to be a full capacity, so asking for another table was out of the question. It's not all bad, though. I was delighted with my entree (John's Favorite) especially the puff pastry filled with lump crab and shrimp and that bread basket was truly to die for. If you're celebrating a special occasion like an anniversary or birthday and want to have a quiet/romantic dinner I would definitely mention that when making reservations.

We loves dining at Maison Lacour so much. Such a cute, quaint, QUIET, French restaurant! Perfect for an intimate date night. All of the food was AMAZING, and what makes it even better is the husband and wife who own and run the business. Text to reserve your spot as early as possible because they stay booked.

Went here for my boyfriend's birthday and had an absolutely delicious meal! Everything was prepared well and the service was very attentive. I forgot to take pictures of our starters but they were also delicious. Only downside keeping it from a 5 star is it's cash only and it's definitely a European feel as we were dining for 2.5 hours. Come hungry and expect to be there for a while but overall amazing and worth it!

Wonderful food, incredibly romantic, fabulous wine list, and the best service. Don't dither. Make a reservation and go!

The food is outstanding. Service is excellent. I like the quaint French cottage feeling of the restaurant. Very nice.

February 2021 - mask worn by all; social distancing enforced. Text Eva to make reservations. Romantic, white table cloth tables. Beautiful place to get engaged. Eva was wonderful to work with. Texted her for a reservation and was very responsive. Food outstanding and worth every penny.

Best food in town! Best service too!! Unique Ambiance of this house/restaurant is wonderful.

Excellent food and service The crabmeat and flounder were delicious, and the restaurant is lovely. I hope more people "discover" it
