My friend and I had a great stay here over Halloween. The hotel is very clean and the room looked like it was recently updated. We had a balcony room and it had a beautiful view of the courtyard. The staff were all so friendly and welcoming and we never wanted for anything. It's rare to find a hotel that provides housekeeping after covid, and the staff here were excellent at keeping our room spotless. The restaurant downstairs is great for breakfast. The nightly jazz music was super loud so we never went, but I'm happy to report that we didn't hear it at all in our room. We plan on staying here next year when we come back!

Our first time staying here, from the the common areas, it looks really nice. We found the room to be outdated and that it could use an refresh. The first time we used the bathroom, the toilet leaked when it was flushed ( we addressed it when we headed out for the day. Someone came in to fix it when we were gone). The sink was plugged and wouldn't drain, we took an empty water bottle and used the suction to unclog it enough to let the water drain, slowly. Black gunk came up when the suctioning was complete. I found it a strange that there was a drop ceiling in the bathroom, especially above the shower. Btw, the towels never seemed to dry out. It was very humid when we were there. The bathroom sink was very low, and I'm short! The closet door wouldn't close, and it was really banged up. We stayed in room 208. The bed was pretty comfy. The a.c. was very loud, which might bother some, but I personally like white noise when I'm sleeping (I sleep with a fan on for the sound). Our room overlooked the courtyard area with the pool and lots of seating. That area was beautiful. The lobby was very nice and in the morning there was complimentary coffee and there was always ice water available. There was a restaurant right off the lobby, that served breakfast. They had a bar there and entertainment some nights, we never had a chance to go inside. The staff was always very pleasant when we we went to the desk. Actually, we were locked out of the room, neither card would work to enter the room. I had to go down to the desk and have them re-program the key cards so that we could get into our room. I have no idea why that happened and they never gave an explanation as to why that happened. We got a great rate, I would consider staying again, I wish they would just freshen up the place a bit. The location is very convenient.

I see the reviews and I am sorry to hear BUT please bear in mind folks it is a TON of work to run an old hotel, to regain ur confidence/labor post covid. I'm a boutique hotel fanatic and bitch foodie. And I will state, hands down, this is the only place I want to stay. Why? Service #1, particularly the amazing Davi in accounting. Then my beautiful room w balcony overlooking the gorgeous pool. Finally the sweet restaurant/bar that serves me almost anything I req inside or at the pool. Finally the awesome live music. And if you wanna party and come back to quiet ? Yup - this is your spot ! Thank you Maison Dupuy Hotel ! See you soon!

Stayed here for the Saints vs Browns game weekend and had an AMAZING time. Got a great room facing the streets. So we never missed any action. And surprisingly for being in the FQ, nights were peaceful! Once the doors to the balcony were closed, you wouldn't be able to hear too much of anything going on outside. Had a shared balcony with 2 other rooms but our neighboring roomies were awesome. We hung out with them on the balcony every morning and shared stories of all of our night before on Bourbon St . The amenities are great. They have live music and drinks at the bar connected to the hotel. Security and valet was great. Front desk staff was awesome and the housekeeping team that did our room was great. Hotel is a little outdated in certain areas but it gives that old time kind of vibe and I Love it. My Fiancée and I will definitely be back to visit the N.O. And we will stay back here at The Maison Dupuy

Went to NO on 03/16/24 for a mini vacation with my mom and daughter. We used a third party to pay for the room. Pros: the lobby is gorgeous, the staff was friendly & professional, the pool area was beautiful, beds were very comfy, and very close to Bourbon St (10 min walk)Cons: mold in the bathroom, no washcloth, channels are on tv weren't clear, WiFi was nonexistent, ice maker didn't work, elevator was kinda scary lol

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here earlier this month (October). It's clean, well maintained and safe (close to nearby police station). The staff were friendly and had great recommendations. The rooms are a bit dated, but for the price it was manageable. Loved that it was in walking distance to the heart of the French Quarter, but the property itself was on the outskirts in the quieter area. The food at Bistreaux, the onsite restaurant, was great too. Will definitely be back!

The room booked was a "King Deluxe" room. According to both Southwest travel portal and the hotels site, these rooms are supposed to have a courtyard or French quarter view. As you can tell from the pictures from their site they are supposed to have couches and a lounge area. Our room has none of these things. To make matters worse the AC in the room does not appear to be working. I brought up these issues to the front desk staff, Jasmine. She was very rude asking only, "What do you expect me to do?". They are 100% booked according to her and don't have any rooms available. I noted that I can still purchase rooms on their site and she replied, "You booked through Expedia so". I explained that I booked through Southwest travel portal and not Expedia and she replied, "Same thing". So because I booked Southwest I am a lower tier of customer? I did ask for a manager and she ignored the request saying, "People stay in your room all the time and some ever request that specific room. I don't see the room as being the problem."

Great location. You are in the French Quarter and just a few blocks away from Bourbon Street. The room was clean. The hotel is charming but it has seen better days. For example, the carpeting in the room was worn. Nonetheless, everything worked, from the fridge to the lights, and etc. The bed was comfortable. My work colleagues stayed at the bigger and newer hotels by the convention center. There isn't much to eat over there and the walk is 30 mins to the French Quarter. The Maison DuPuy staff is awesome, from the concierge to housekeeping to front desk. The older lady and young male concierge provided some good safety tips. He recommended calling a white and black cab to go to the airport. Some of the hotel guests partied a bit too hard. This is New Orleans, after all. One night, it was someone's birthday. On another night, others Just returned loud.Overall, it was a good place to stay.

So many things to improve! First , many thanks to Jonathan. He was welcoming and willing to help/assist in every/any way possible . His customer service was on point. 5 stars to him.The room in general barely got 2 stars. The headboard itself was fixated to the wall. Appearance was super tacky! . The room phone , I thought was for "show only". I honestly didn't think it worked. Missing buttons and buttons were sticky gross. Please.... Please . Just ask about the heating and air conditioning for each room. I got several different answers. Our room for our stay : you want to be HOT or COLD? No happy medium. Check your TV. Not all room TVs are smart TV and each room has different cell connection. Wall curtains are stained . Carpet did not look freshly vacuumed. Maintenance came to check on our AC vents at 12 midnight because it was soo hot . He needed a ladder but didn't have one to check the temperature on the vent near ceilings. He took the garbage can from bathroom and stood on top of the trash can to get a reading.

We have been staying here about 2-3 times a year for the past 2 years. This has always been our "go-to" hotel for the French quarter. However, this last stay was a horrible experience! They charged my credit card $616 for the entire stay then said they had no record of the second payment and I still owed $313 upon my arrival! I even showed them credit card statement showing that the entire amount was already charged and they said they had no record of the second payment. I had to choice but to pull out another credit card and let them run it for an additional $313! I've now paid over $900 for a $600 2-night hotel stay! I've done everything I can to resolve it and they refuse to acknowledge it. I will never trust this hotel and will never stay there again. On top of everything else, our air conditioner wouldn't cut off and we almost froze our entire stay. We had no blankets, hand towels, or wash cloths until the 2nd night as we were told they were currently out of all 3.
