Magnolia Weddings and Events

On October 3, 2015 I married my best friend here. We looked at several other venues before choosing this one. I'm so glad we did. As far as venues go, this one is reasonably priced. We mainly dealt with a lady named Ms. Sue. Ms. Sue, was amazing!! She was very straight forward and down to earth. She made us feel so comfortable. She took the time to answer every question, talk out all of our concerns, and basically hold our hands through everything. The venue is beautiful. The DJ provided is awesome. We submitted our song requests online. All the coordinators the day of our wedding made us feel like we were the most important couple in the world. They helped things really flow. My parents were attended to as well and never had to get up for anything. The food was great. I'd recommend this place to anyone!

I attended a family wedding at this old school reception hall in Elmwood. The hall is divided into 2 sections and we were actually in both. The wedding happened on one side and they set up a very nice space for the ceremony and then we proceeded to the other side (after second lining in the parking lot) for the reception. The staff was uniformly great and very helpful. Like most receptions the food was a mixed bag. Some items were delicious and others were meh. However the passed pastries at the end of the event were delish and I was sad that I was almost full. The bartenders were hard working and kept up with the thirsty crowd.The dance floor was spacious and the dj played a variety of music so that even my 70+ parents got up and danced.Yes the area is more industrial but there are a couple of reception halls in the area. The parking is abundant.

I couldn't have asked for a better venue. The staff was attentive but not overbearing. The food was delicious and the venue was beautiful. My husband and I were taken care of thoroughly and the staff truly went above and beyond to accommodate us and our families. I honestly have no complaints!

I can't say enough about Sue and her crew from the first contact through this weekend's wedding. With every contact from beginning through Sunday when we went back to pick up things, every request was greeting with "No Problem" and addressed immediately. The venue was beautiful, the staff responsive, the food very good, the DJ fun. The families had "attendants" to meet every need and make sure that we ate and had plenty to drink. Sue is the BEST! I can't imagine that she does this every day and still has functional brain power! If you are thinking about a destination wedding in this area, consider Magnolia Plantation.

venue is nice enough, but food wasn't too good. prices are supposedly excellent, but's it's also in the middle of industrial elmwood. I had a great time at the wedding i went to here, but I wouldn't rate the venue itself higher than other places in the area.

I got married here two years ago and this place is still on my mind. It was not a good experience for what should be the best day of your life. First off the staff talked loudly through my ceremony. My guests were turning around shushing them. They played the wrong song when I walked down the aisle even after them confirming with me the correct song 5 minutes before hand. Still played the wrong one. I had to go up to the bar all night and get my own drinks (which is fine but I was told that we would have someone taking care of me and the groom) the staff was really rude. I called the next day to let the owner know everything that happened and she just said ok. Spend the extra money and go somewhere nicer. It's your big day. You will remember it forever.

What a great experience! From the initial planning to the final dance this place and their staff were excellent, helpful, patient, and clearly know what they are doing, all of which all of which allowed my daughter and son in law to have a wonderful experience. As parents, we could not have asked for more. We are getting calls and messages from so many who attended who thought the food, drink, set up and staff were sooooo good. In addition to a buffet line of food, the staff continued to walk trays of food around the entire 3 hours. Much appreciation to ms sue and ms collette for making this stress free - my wife and I would recommend this place to anyone! Thanks again

So happy we chose Magnolia Plantation for our daughters wedding. Sue Long was such a wonderful person to work with. She calmed my daughters nerves and helped relax her before she started her walk down the aisle. She helped make out daughters dream wedding into a reality. Everyone raved about the good food and beautiful venue. Thank u to all the staff also. They were great. A wedding that ppl will remember for sure!

Sending a big THANK YOU to Magnolia Plantation Staff. Each one of you made my daughter's wedding run smoothly and I did not have to worry about one thing. From the very beginning, Sue was a joy to work with. She was patient with all of my requests and made sure that all were completed to my specifications. On the night of the wedding, the attendants responsible for all of the Bride, Groom, and parents needs were remarkable. If we even thought of a drink, it was in our hands. It was so nice to know if we needed anything, they were right there, and they were so friendly! At the end of the night, the staff packed up all of the decor and personally loaded our car. I can't say enough about this venue. I highly recommend it to anyone having a wedding. They not only make the bride and groom feel special, they extended that treatment to the parents.
