Hotel restaurant of the Ritz CarltonTo get here you have to take the elevator up from street level to the 3rd floor and the walk past the reception to the right. The room is elegant and there is often live jazz on site. Service was good, slightly on the slow side especially with drinks. I think their bar can get pretty swamped. That being said, they actually made a mistake and gave us an extra cocktail each, on the house. Food was all nice, pretty standard, meant to please everybody it seemed. The shrimp & grits were great I will say!

We have been to Davenport Lounge too many times to count so decided to try dinner here since we could still enjoy the music. Made a reservation on OpenTable but definitely wasn't needed on a Friday evening as there were plenty of tables available. Service was definitely slow throughout the night, but our waitress was very nice. Best part of the place was being able to eat dinner with the music. We started with the bread basket and crab cake appetizer. Bread basket is only $3 but everything was cold, seemed not worth it. The crab cakes were okay but seemed fairly small portion wise (3 small crab cakes). I had the BBQ shrimp and grits which was actually good, however my husband had the redfish which tasted and smelled "fishy" and was very bland. There was nothing special or tasty about it. Dessert was good though-would get the bananas foster bread pudding again. FYI you can order some of the food options (not necessarily entrees but snacks and dessert) at Davenport Lounge. Will definitely stick with this next time and avoid the restaurant.

In a city known for fabulous food, M Bistro was a disappointment. I'm not a fan of restaurants in hotels, but our group chose this for dinner. The Grilled redfish was average, the shrimp and grits was more sweet than spicy. The beignets were average at best. Our meal took 3.5 hours. Granted it was Super Bowl weekend, but there were a few empty tables. Our server was very sweet and did her best. Someone from our group went to speak to someone regarding how long it took to get our drinks and they were a little more attentive after that.

Not sure why the reviews are mid; we really enjoyed our lunch here. We ate the bar and the service was fantastic (Byron and Brittany). The food was amazing too!

Don't go on a Saturday night before a Football game. On a Sunday night it was almost empty and the service was terrific. We had a Reviellon dinner which was off the wall delicious and superb. I could not think of anything to improve. Drinks were also well made strong and generous pours. It was pricey but worth it

Visiting NOLA this week and we tried out their breakfast. Breakfast was wayyyyy over priced. The food was good but $40 for one at the buffet? I did not feel as though there was value. Servive was excellent . The Ambiance was magical! It has been beautifully decorated and totally enjoyed the ambiance.

My partner and I were highly recommended that we go in and try the beignets at M Bistro. Upon arriving to the host stand, we were already met with annoyance after we stated we were not residents of the hotel. After seated, our waitress got us our drinks and asked what we'd like to order for breakfast. We requested beignets. Upon hearing that, our waitress was visibly bothered that that was all we planned to order. For the remainder of the meal no servers checked on us. It wasn't until the very end of our meal that our server brought us the check without asking if we would like to order anything else. She began being talkative after the check was placed down and seemed convenient that we were about to have to write down the tip. This experience was highly uninviting and if anyone asked me if I recommend, I'd absolutely say no.

Stayed at the Ritz for a business meeting and experienced M Bistro food twice. Once in the afternoon when we grazed off the bar/lounge menu. The sliders and deviled eggs were both fantastic. Flatbreads were good too, as was the charcuterie plate. Had the purple haze cocktail--can't go wrong when Monkey 47 is listed!Had dinner the next night in the restaurant section and it was great as well. Nice music coming from the lounge for entertainment. The street corn bisque is something I'm going to be talking about for a long time. One spoonful and I told my colleagues I would need some time to myself...to enjoy this amazing bisque. So good I'm going to have thoughts of driving 10 hrs each way to New Orleans to have more. The artichoke-crusted red fish entree was also delicious. Don't forget the beignets for dessert! The whole experience is nothing less than I would have expected from this Ritz Carlton but it was still nice to be so happy after eating and drinking here.

Had an amazing time at M Bistro! The vibe was amazing especially with the live jazz music by Jeremy Davenport. The food was delicious! My server was so kind and attentive. I did the Reveillon Menu and enjoyed it all. The Ritz is always so nice during the holidays!
