Tried again. Love that they offered grilled red snapper on the salad, but overly salted. The lettuce was shredded bagged stuff. The rice was blander than any rice-a-roni I've ever had.

This place is a hidden gem. I went here with three of my teammates and it was the real deal. The fresh salsa at the table told us everything we needed to know about how good this place was going to taste. Great people and great food.

The food is ALWAYS fresh and hot. The service is always great and friendly. I love love love this place. It's my mom and I favorite taco place. The tinga tacos were beyond delicious, the fresh guacamole is forever my go to. The vibe is calm and relaxing everything is very festive and true to culture which is something I respect to the fullest just because of sticking to roots

I pass by this place so many times but have never noticed it. It was recommended to me as one of the best Mexican restaurants in the city. I don't need much convincing to try a different Mexican restaurant, so I came here the first chance I got. The menu does not have regular burritos on it (only kid's burrito), but they still make it. I had a chicken burrito that's made in a large tortilla. They serve it with a small side of rice and refried beans. I would have liked a little more, but I always want more lol. The burrito is cooked on the grill and is pretty decent. The real star of the show is the mushroom empanada!!!! It's served with a side of spicy mayo. These empanadas were the best empanadas I've ever had in my life! I will never not order these when I come. They are $5.99 for 3. They were soft and very flavorful. I could eat like 5 more. Please try them! ***There's parking in front of the restaurant, but very few. I parked on the side of the building. The place is decorated nicely and has nice table runners. They also have high chairs that are placed at the bar. You order at the counter. I think they prefer cash because there's a small fee for using a card or Apple Pay or Google Pay.

This review is for delivery only. I ordered the same meal twice--because I am that person. The most exciting thing both times were the mushroom empanadas. I could eat ten of them. In fact, next time, I may just order several portions of them and nothing else. They are really yummy. I felt like the rest (chips and salsa, guacamole, and veggie quesadilla) were slightly inconsistent. The first time everything was amazing. The second time, things seemed a bit off. Nothing was bad, but the empanadas were better than the rest. The guac was a little too chunky, for starters. Overall, this is one of the better Mexican/Central American meals I've had in New Orleans. Will give them more business for sure. Check them out.

Muy Authenico!!Classic Mexican dishes, large portions, great variety on the menu. I am currently working my way across the selections and so far I have tried and enjoyed tacos (of course), ceviche, gorditas, queso fundido and the house margarita. The chips are super thin and the salsa so fresh it is still warm! They have a brisk takeout business, a fairly small dining area, and a full selection of beer and cocktails. In a tiny strip mall, just off Earhart Blvd. near Carrolton, the parking area is tiny but there are some street spots one block over. We will be back!!

Nice new mexican option in an area that really needed it. I was craving guacamole, and I'd usually make it, but avocados in 3 stores I tried weren't ripe. Being a Wednesday, all Juan's locations were closed. What to do? I consulted my handy dandy Yelp! app and found this gem. I called in an order of cheese Chile Relleno and guacamole and chips (of course). The Relleno came as a meal, with black beans, yellow rice, flour tortillas, and a salad. Every component was flavorful and perfectly made. The star though was the Guac- I saved some for today and will definitely go back for more. The meal-sharing board was a great community touch. Please patronize this new business and show your support!

This is a small, quaint little restaurant right off Earhart Blvd. The decor is great and fun, there's even little avacado ornaments hanging on the wall. The restaurant appears to be family owned with basically just mom and son working. The food came out pretty fast considering so few workers. But since there are only 2 or 3 workers there, the overal service was slow. I ordered the elote regular and an off menu item. I asked if they could make me the molcajetes since I saw it on one of their pages. Molcajetes is a bowl made from volcanic rock that cooks food and adds flavor generally used in Mexican culture. The dish is filled with grilled meats and seafood. Theirs had shrimp, ham, the most amazing and flavorful chorizo, peppers, steak, panela cheese, and onions. Apparently it is a special so I guess you have to ask for it and hope they can make it if it's not on special that day. I was so very appreciative that they did make it for me because this dish was incredible! I think this dish is either the best or one of the best Mexican dishes in the city! I thoroughly enjoyed all the seasonings and flavors. I did not order any drinks or margaritas unfortunately so I can't attest to their awesomeness. The burrito was ok. So was the rice. The guacamole could have used less tomatoes. I enjoyed the slightly spicy salsa. Chips and flour tortillas seems fresh and homemade, perfection. Everything was so very reasonable priced. Thank you for being a perfect little restaurant with big flavors.

This little place has incredible food! My husband and I ordered: guacamole, one Al pastor taco, Birria tacos and poblano enchiladas. There was nothing that was not delicious. The guacamole was super fresh. The Al pastor taco was the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The Birria tacos were delicious and the consommé and green salsa put them over the top good. The poblano enchiladas had a wonderful flavor. Often in chicken enchiladas, the chicken is shredded and can be fairly dry. This chicken was more like fajita style and was not dry at all. When you come in, you get chips and salsa for the table and the salsa is so good! Smoky and spicy- different from the tomato-y salsa at most places. I am already planning what I would get next visit!
